Whatever ('amal) I have enjoined upon My servant; thereby attaining My proximity More dear to me than attaining nearness through something else ('Amal). And My servant always attains nearness to Me through Nafl 'Ibadah. Finally I love him and when I love him- I become his ears, through which he hears. I become his Eyes, through which he sees. I become his hand, with which he grasps (works). I become his feet, through which he walks. If he asks me, I give him. If he seeks refuge with me, I shelter him. And to do what I want to do, I am the soul of a believing servant I do not hesitate to do so. For the believer (naturally) hates death, and I hate to displease him. But death is essential for him.
