Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #38734

On the authority of Abdullah bin Amr bin Al-Aas, may God be pleased with them both, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said: “It will be said to the one who reads the Qur’an: Read, ascend, and recite as you used to recite in this world, for your status is at the last verse you recite.” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi, who said: A good and authentic hadith)).
