Hadith #38782
وعن علي بن أبي طالب رضي الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم كان يصلي قبل العصر ركعتين‏.‏‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه أبو داود بإسناد صحيح‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Ali bin Abi Talib, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, used to pray two rak’ahs before the afternoon prayer. ((Narrated by Abu Dawud with an authentic chain of transmission)).
