وَعَنْ عَائِشَةَ رَضِيَ اللّهُ عَنْهَا قَالَتْ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ ﷺ: «إِذَا كَثُرَتْ ذُنُوبُ الْعَبْدِ وَلَمْ يَكُنْ لَه مَا يُكَفِّرُهَا مِنَ الْعَمَلِ ابْتَلَاهُ اللّهُ بِالْحَزَنِ لِيُكَفِّرَهَا عَنهُ» . رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If a servant’s sins are many and he does not have any deeds that can expiate them, God afflicted him with grief to make up for it.” Narrated by Ahmed
