عَن الْعِرْبَاضِ بْنِ سَارِيَةَ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللّهِ ﷺ قَالَ: «يَخْتَصِمُ الشُّهَدَاءُ وَالْمُتَوَفَّوْنَ عَلى فُرُشِهِمْ إِلى رَبِّنَا فِي الَّذِيْنَ يُتَوَفَّوْنَ مِنَ الطَّاعُونِ فَيَقُولُ الشُّهَدَاءُ: إِخْوَانُنَا قُتِلُوْا كَمَا قُتِلْنَا وَيَقُوْلُ: الْمُتَوَفُّوْنَ عَلى فُرُشِهِمْ إِخْوَانُنَا مَاتُوا عَلى فُرُشِهِمْ كَمَا مِتْنَا فَيَقُولُ رَبُّنَا: انْظُرُوا إِلى جِرَاحِهِمْ فَإِنْ أَشْبَهَتْ جِرَاحُهُمْ جِرَاحَ الْمَقْتُولِيْنَ فَإِنَّهُمْ مِنْهُمْ وَمَعَهُمْ فَإِذَا جِرَاحُهُمْ قَدْ أَشْبَهَتْ جِرَاحَهُمْ». رَوَاهُ أَحْمَدُ وَالنَّسَائِيُّ
On the authority of Al-Irbad bin Sariyah that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The martyrs and the deceased on their beds dispute before our Lord regarding those who die from The plague, and the martyrs say: Our brothers were killed as we were killed, and the martyrs say: Our brothers died on their beds. Just as we died, our Lord says: Look at their wounds, for if their wounds resemble the wounds of those who were killed, then they are of them and with them. So if “Their wounds resembled his wounds.” Narrated by Ahmad and Al-Nasa’i
