Hadith #39721
وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: مَرَّتْ جَنَازَةٌ فَقَامَ لَهَا رَسُولُ اللّهِ ﷺ وَقُمْنَا مَعَه فَقُلْنَا: يَا رَسُولَ اللّهِ إِنَّهَا يَهُودِيَّةٌ فَقَالَ: «إِنَّ الْمَوْتَ فَزَعٌ فَإِذَا رَأَيْتُمْ الْجِنَازَة فَقُوْمُوْا». (مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ)
On the authority of Jabir, he said: A funeral passed and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, stood up for it. We stood with him and said: O Messenger of God, she is Jewish. He said: “Death is a terror.” So when you see the funeral, get up.” (agreed)
