وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اللّهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ قَالَ: اشْتَكى سَعْدُ بْنُ عُبَادَةَ شَكْوًى لَه فَأَتَاهُ النَّبِيُّ ﷺ يَعُودُه مَعَ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمنِ بْنِ عَوْفٍ وَسَعْدِ بْنِ أَبِىْ وَقَّاصٍ وَعَبْدِ اللّهِ بْنِ مَسْعُودٍ فَلَمَّا دَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ وَجَدَه فِي غَاشِيَةٍ فَقَالَ: (قَدْ قَضى؟ قَالُوا: لَا يَا رَسُولَ اللّهِ فَبَكَى النَّبِيُّ ﷺ فَلَمَّا رَأَى الْقَوْمُ بُكَاءَ النَّبِيِّ ﷺ بَكَوْا فَقَالَ: أَلَا تَسْمَعُوْنَ؟ أَنَّ اللّهَ لَا يُعَذِّبُ بِدَمْعِ الْعَيْنِ وَلَا بِحُزْنِ الْقَلْبِ وَلَكِنْ يُعَذِّبُ بِهذَا وَأَشَارَ إِلى لِسَانِه أَوْ يَرْحَمُ وَإِن الْمَيِّتَ لَيُعَذِّبُ بِبُكَاءِ أَهْلِه. (مُتَّفَقٌ عَلَيْهِ)
On the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, he said: Saad bin Ubadah complained to him, so the Prophet, peace and blessings of God be upon him, came to visit him with Abdul Rahman bin Awf and Saad bin Abi Waqqas, Abdullah bin Masoud, and when he entered upon him, he found him in a trance, so he said: (Has he finished? They said: No, O Messenger of God, so the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, wept. When The people saw the Prophet, peace and blessings be upon him, crying. They cried and he said: Don’t you listen? Indeed, God does not punish with tears of the eye or with sadness of the heart, but rather He punishes with this, and he indicated his tongue or mercy, and that the dead person tortures with crying. His family. (agreed)
