Hadith #39758
وَعَنْ بُرَيْدَةَ قَالَ: كَانَ رَسُولُ اللّهِ ﷺ يُعَلِّمُهُمْ إِذَا خَرَجُوا إِلَى الْمَقَابِرِ: «السَّلَامُ عَلَيْكُمْ أَهْلَ الدِّيَارِ مِنَ الْمُؤْمِنِيْنَ وَالْمُسْلِمِيْنَ وَإِنَّا إِنْ شَآءَ اللّهُ بِكُمْ لَلَاحِقُوْنَ نَسْأَلُ اللّهَ لَنَا وَلَكُمُ الْعَافِيَةَ» . رَوَاهُ مُسْلِمٌ
On the authority of Buraydah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to teach them when they went out to the cemeteries: “Peace be upon you, people of the land, both believers and Muslims. And we, God willing, will be with you for those who follow us. We ask God for well-being for us and for you.” Narrated by Muslim
