Hadith #40188
ووصفه بأنه أحد أعمامه. وكان من الصحابة. (قال) جاء جماعة من الركبان إلى النبي (صلى الله عليه وسلم) فشهدوا أنهم رأوا الهلال أمس (شهر شوال). فأمرهم (عليه السلام) أن يفطروا ويخرجوا إلى ميدان العيدة في الصباح. (أبو داود، النسائي) [1]
He described it as one of his uncles. He was among the Companions. (He said) Once a group of riders came to the Prophet (may peace be upon him) and testified that they had seen the new moon yesterday (of the month of Shawwal). He (peace be upon him) (Alaihi wa Sallam) ordered them to break their fast and go to the Maidan of the Eidgah the next morning. (Abu Dawud, Nasa'i) [1]
