Hadith #40486
وعن أبي موسى الأشعري رضي الله عنه قال‏:‏ سمع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم رجلا يُثني على رجل ويُطريه في المدحة، فقال‏:‏ ‏"‏أهلكتم، أو قطعتم ظهر الرجل‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏ (23).‏
The Prophet (ﷺ) heard a person lauding another person or praising him too much. Thereupon he said, "You killed the man," or he said, "You ruined the man.".
