حَدَّثَنَا أَسْوَدُ بْنُ عَامِرٍ، قَالَ أَخْبَرَنَا جَعْفَرٌ يَعْنِي الْأَحْمَرَ، عَنْ مُطَرِّفٍ، عَنِ الْحَكَمِ، عَنْ مُجَاهِدٍ، قَالَ حَذَفَ رَجُلٌ ابْنًا لَهُ بِسَيْفٍ فَقَتَلَهُ فَرُفِعَ إِلَى عُمَرَ فَقَالَ لَوْلَا أَنِّي سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ لَا يُقَادُ الْوَالِدُ مِنْ وَلَدِهِ لَقَتَلْتُكَ قَبْلَ أَنْ تَبْرَحَ.
Aswad bin Amir told us, he said, Ja`far, meaning the red one, told us, on the authority of Mutarrif, on the authority of al-Hakam, on the authority of Mujahid, he said a man deleted his son. With a sword, he killed him. Then he was brought up to Omar, and he said, “If it had not been that I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say, ‘A father should not be punished by his son. I would have killed you before you left.
