حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَلَمَةَ الْخُزَاعِيُّ، أَنْبَأَنَا لَيْثٌ، وَيُونُسُ، حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ بْنِ أُسَامَةَ بْنِ الْهَادِ، عَنِ الْوَلِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي الْوَلِيدِ، عَنْ عُثْمَانَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللَّهِ يَعْنِي ابْنَ سُرَاقَةَ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يَقُولُ مَنْ أَظَلَّ رَأْسَ غَازٍ أَظَلَّهُ اللَّهُ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ وَمَنْ جَهَّزَ غَازِيًا حَتَّى يَسْتَقِلَّ كَانَ لَهُ مِثْلُ أَجْرِهِ حَتَّى يَمُوتَ قَالَ قَالَ يُونُسُ أَوْ يَرْجِعَ وَمَنْ بَنَى لِلَّهِ مَسْجِدًا يُذْكَرُ فِيهِ اسْمُ اللَّهِ تَعَالَى بَنَى اللَّهُ لَهُ بِهِ بَيْتًا فِي الْجَنَّةِ.
Abu Salamah Al-Khuza’i told us, Laith told us, and Yunus told us, Laith told us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abdullah bin Usama bin Al-Had, on the authority of Al-Walid bin Abi Al-Walid, on the authority of Othman bin Abdullah, meaning Ibn Suraqa, on the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him, who said: I heard the Messenger God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, says: Whoever shades the head of a raider, God will shade him on the Day of Resurrection, and whoever prepares a raider until he departs will have a parable. Reward him until he dies, said Yunus, or returns. And whoever builds a mosque for God in which the name of God Almighty is mentioned, God will build for him a house therein. In heaven...
