حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا التَّيْمِيُّ، عَنْ أَبِي عُثْمَانَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ قَالَ كُنَّا مَعَ عُتْبَةَ بْنِ فَرْقَدٍ فَكَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ عُمَرُ رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ بِأَشْيَاءَ يُحَدِّثُهُ عَنْ النَّبِيِّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ فَكَانَ فِيمَا كَتَبَ إِلَيْهِ أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ قَالَ لَا يَلْبَسُ الْحَرِيرَ فِي الدُّنْيَا إِلَّا مَنْ لَيْسَ لَهُ فِي الْآخِرَةِ مِنْهُ شَيْءٌ إِلَّا هَكَذَا وَقَالَ بِإِصْبَعَيْهِ السَّبَّابَةِ وَالْوُسْطَى قَالَ أَبُو عُثْمَانَ فَرَأَيْتُ أَنَّهَا أَزْرَارُ الطَّيَالِسَةِ حِينَ رَأَيْنَا الطَّيَالِسَةَ.
Yahya bin Saeed told us, Al-Taymi told us, on the authority of Abu Uthman, may God be pleased with him. He said: We were with Utbah bin Farqad, and Omar, may God be pleased with him, wrote to him. God told him about things that he told him about the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and it was in what was written to him that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace He, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “No one will wear silk in this world except one who will have nothing of it in the Hereafter except such and such,” and he said with his two index fingers: And the middle ones, Abu Uthman said, and I saw that they were the buttons of the tyalisa when we saw the tyalisa.
