Hadith #44816
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ، حَدَّثَنَا إِسْرَائِيلُ، حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ مَسْرُوقٍ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ عَنْ عُمَرَ، أَنَّهُ قَالَ لَا وَأَبِي فَقَالَ رَسُولُ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ مَهْ إِنَّهُ مَنْ حَلَفَ بِشَيْءٍ دُونَ اللَّهِ فَقَدْ أَشْرَكَ.
Abu Saeed told us, Israel told us, Saeed bin Masruq told us, on the authority of Saad bin Ubaidah, on the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of Omar, He said no, and my father, so the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to him, “Indeed, whoever swears by anything other than God has committed polytheism.”
