Musnad Ahmad — Hadith #45784

Abdullah narrated to us, Abu Bakr bin Abi Shaybah narrated to me, Abu Al-Ahwas narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Abu Hayya, he said: I saw Ali May God be pleased with him. He performed ablution and cleansed his hands, then washed his face three times, his arms three times, wiped his head, then washed his feet until Then he got up and drank the remains of his ablution, then said, “I only wanted to show you the purification of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace.”
