Hadith #46055
وعن سهل بن سعد قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ ‏ "‏إنما جعل الاستئذان من أجل البصر‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏متفق عليه‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Sahl bin Saad, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The request for permission was only made for the sake of sight” (Agreed upon).
