Hadith #46056
On the authority of Rab’i bin Harash, he said: A man from Banu Amir told us that he asked permission from the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, while he was in a house, and he said: Should I enter? Then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to his servant: “Go out to this man and teach him permission, so say to him: Say: Peace be upon you. Shall I enter?” The man heard him and said: Peace be upon you, may I enter? So the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, gave him permission. Peace be upon him, so he entered.
