Hadith #46311
عن أبي قتادة رضي الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ سئل عن صوم يوم الاثنين فقال‏:‏ ‏ "‏ذلك يوم ولدت فيه، ويوم بعثت أو أنزل علي فيه‏"‏ ‏(‏‏(‏رواه مسلم‏)‏‏)‏‏.‏
On the authority of Abu Qatada, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was asked about fasting on Monday, and he said: “That is the day on which I was born, and the day on which I was sent or sent down upon me” ((Narrated by Muslim)).
