The likeness of a believer who does not recite the Qur’an is like a date: it has no scent and its taste is sweet. On the authority of Omar bin Al-Khattab, may God be pleased with him: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “God raises people up with this book and brings others down with it” ((Narrated by Muslim)).

On the authority of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to me: “Recite the Qur’an to me.” So I said: O Messenger of God, should I recite it to you and to you? It was revealed to you?! He said: “I would love to hear it from others.” So I recited Surat An-Nisa to him until I came to this verse: {So how if We bring from every nation a martyr? And We have brought you as a witness against these. He said: “It suffices for you now.” He turned to him and saw his eyes. They shed tears. ((Agreed upon)).

On the authority of Abu Saeed Rafi’ bin Al-Mu’alla, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to me: “Shall I not teach you the greatest surah in the Qur’an before you leave the mosque?” So he took my hand, and when we wanted to leave, I said: O Messenger of God, you said, “Should I teach you the greatest surah in the Qur’an?” He said: “Praise be to God, Lord of the worlds, and it is the seven repeated verses, and the great Qur’an which I gave him.” ((Narrated Al-Bukhari)..

On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said regarding: {Say: He is God, One}: “By the One in whose hand is my soul, it is equal to a third of the Qur’an.” And in a narration: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to his companions: “Is any of you unable to recite a third of the Qur’an in a night?” This made them distressed, and they said: Who can bear that, O Messenger? God: He said: “Say: He is God, One.” A third of the Qur’an.” ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)).

On his authority, a man heard a man reciting: {Say: He is God, One} repeating it. Then in the morning, he came to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and he mentioned that to him. The man was saying it, so the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “By the One in whose hand is my soul, it is equivalent to a third of the Qur’an.” (Narrated by Al-Bukhari)

On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was seeking refuge from the jinn and the evil eye of man, until the two refuges were revealed. When they were revealed, he took them and left everything else. ((Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and said: It is a good hadith.))

He said: “But he has lied to you and will return.” So I knew that he would return according to what the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, so I spotted him, and he came seeking food, so I said: I will take you to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: Leave me, for I am in need, and I will not return to having dependents. So I had mercy on him and let him go, so I came in the morning and the Messenger of God said to me. May God’s prayers and peace be upon him: “O Abu Hurairah, what did your prisoner do? “Yesterday?” I said: O Messenger of God, he complained of a need and need, so I had mercy on him, so I let him go. He said: “He has lied to you and will return.” So I saw him the third time. He came seeking food, so I took it, and I said: I will take you to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and this is the last of the three. You claim that you will not return, then you will come back! So he said: Let me, for I will teach you words that God will benefit you. With it, I said: What are they? He said: If you go to bed, read Ayat Al-Kursi, for a guardian from God will remain over you, and no devil will approach you until the morning, so I let him go and in the morning, then the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said to me: “What did your prisoner do yesterday?” I said: O Messenger of God, he claimed that he was teaching me words that God would benefit me with, so I let him go. He said: “What is it?” I said: He said to me: If you go to bed So read Ayat Al-Kursi from the beginning until the verse concludes: {Allah There is no god but He, the Ever-Living, the Ever-Living. He said to me: There is still a guardian over you from God, and no devil will approach you until morning. Then the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “But he has told you the truth while he is a liar. Did you know who you were talking to three years ago, O Abu Hurairah?” I said: No. He said: “That is Satan” ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)..

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “On the Day of Resurrection, my nation will be called to have gray hair from the effects of ablution. So whoever of you is able to make his hair long, let him do so.” (Agreed upon)

On his authority, he said: I heard my friend, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “Ablution reaches the believer as ablution reaches it” ((Narrated by Muslim)).

On the authority of Othman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever performs ablution and performs it well, his sins will leave his body until they come out from under his fingernails” (Narrated by Muslim).

On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever says when he hears the call: O God, Lord of this perfect call and the established prayer, give Muhammad the means and virtue, and raise him to the praised station which You promised him, my intercession will be granted to him on the Day of Resurrection” ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)).

On the authority of Saad bin Abi Waqqas, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he said: “Whoever says when he hears the muezzin: I bear witness that there is no god but God alone, with no partner, and that Muhammad is His servant and Messenger. I am satisfied with God as Lord and with Islam as religion, his sin will be forgiven.” ((Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and said it is a good hadith)).

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: “Do you think that if there was a river at the door of one of you and he bathed in it five times every day, would any dirt remain on him?” They said: Nothing of dirt would remain on him. On the authority of Jundub bin Sufyan, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever performs the Fajr prayer is under God’s protection, so look, son of Adam. God will not ask you for anything under His protection.” ((Narrated by Muslim)).

On his authority, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever purifies himself in his house, then goes to one of God’s houses, to perform one of God’s duties, his steps, one of them will erase a sin, and the other will raise him in status” ((Narrated by Muslim)).

On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, he said: The areas around the mosque were deserted, so Banu Salama wanted to move near the mosque. So he said: ‘Bani Salamah, your homes write your traces, your homes write your traces.’ They said: What pleases us? On the authority of Abu Musa Al-Ash’ari, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The person with the greatest reward for prayer is the one who walks the longest to it, the furthest away from it, and the one who waits for prayer until he prays it with the imam is of greater reward than the one who prays it and then sleeps” ((Agreed upon)).

On the authority of Buraydah, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: “Give good news to those who walk in darkness to the mosques that there will be complete light on the Day of Resurrection” (Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi).

On the authority of Abu Saeed Al-Khudri, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, he said: “If you see a man accustomed to the mosques, bear witness to his faith. God Almighty said: ‘The mosques of God are inhabited only by those who believe in God and the Last Day’ ((The verse. It was narrated by Al-Tirmidhi and he said it is a good hadith)).

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “A man’s prayer in congregation is multiplied twenty-five times over his prayer in his home and in his market, and that is because if he performs ablution and performs it well, then goes out to the mosque, nothing takes him out except for prayer. He does not take a step without his being raised in rank and a sin removed from him because of it. So if he prays, the angels continue to pray over him as long as he is in his place of prayer. On the authority of Abu Darda, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “There are not three people in a village or a Bedouin among whom prayer is not performed except that Satan has taken control of them. So you must adhere to the congregation, for the wolf only eats from the straying sheep.” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud with a good chain of transmission)).

On the authority of Othman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: “Whoever prays Isha’ in a group, it is as if he has risen at midnight, and whoever prays Fajr in a group, it is as if he prayed the whole night.” ((Narrated by Muslim)). And in Al-Tirmidhi’s narration on the authority of Othman bin Affan, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever witnesses the evening meal in a group will have the right to pray for half the night, and whoever witnesses Isha and Fajr in a group, for him, it was like spending the night in prayer.” ((Al-Tirmidhi said, a good and authentic hadith))

On the authority of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him, he said: I asked the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: Which deeds are best? He said: “Prayer on time.” I said: “Then what?” He said: “Honoring one’s parents.” I said: “Then what?” He said: “Jihad for the sake of God” ((Agreed upon))

On the authority of Muadh, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, sent me to Yemen and said: “You are coming to a people from the People of the Book, so invite them to testify that there is no god but God and that I am the Messenger of God. If they obey that, then teach them that God Almighty has obligated them to perform five prayers every day and night. If they obey that, then inform them that God Almighty has made obligatory charity taken from their rich and given back to them.” Their poor, if they obey Therefore, beware of their wealth and fear the supplication of the oppressed, for there is no veil between it and God.” (Agreed upon)

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “The first thing for which a servant will be held accountable on the Day of Resurrection for his work is his prayer. If it is good, then he has succeeded and prospered, and if it is corrupted, then he has failed and lost. On the authority of Abu Masoud, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to wipe our shoulders during prayer, and say: “Stay equal and do not differ, lest your hearts differ. Perhaps among you will be those who have dreams and prohibitions, then those who follow them, then those who follow them.” ((Narrated by Muslim)).

On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Straighten your rows, for straightening the row is part of the completion of prayer.” ((Agreed upon)) In Al-Bukhari’s narration: “straightening the rows is part of establishing prayer.”

On the authority of Al-Nu’man bin Bashir, may God be pleased with them both, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: “You will straighten your rows, or God will dissent between your faces.” ((Agreed upon)) And in a narration by Muslim: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was straightening our rows as if he were straightening them with a sword, until he saw that we had turned away from him. Then he went out one day and stood up until He was about to grow up, and he saw a man with his chest visible from the row, and he said “Servants of God, may you straighten your rows, or God will discord between your faces.”
