Riyad as-Salihin # 2/728
Aisha (RA)
وعن عائشة رضى الله عنها قالت ‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ ‏
"‏إذا أكل أحدكم فليذكر اسم الله تعالى، فإذا نسى أن يذكر اسم الله تعالى في أوله، فليقل، بسم الله أوله وآخره‏"‏‏.‏
((رواه أبو داود والترمذي))
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “When one of you eats, let him mention the name of God Almighty, and if he forgets to mention the name of God Almighty at the beginning, let him say, ‘In the Name of God,’ at the beginning and at the end.” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi))

Jabir (RA)
وعن جابر، رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول‏:‏ ‏
"‏إذا دخل الرجل بيته، فذكر الله تعالى عند دخوله وعند طعامه، قال الشيطان لأصحابه‏:‏ لا مبيت لكم ولا عشاء، وإذا دخل ، فلم يذكر الله تعالى عند دخوله، قال الشيطان‏:‏ أدركتم المبيت؛ وإذا لم يذكر الله تعالى عند طعامه قال‏:‏ أدركتم المبيت والعشاء‏"‏ ‏. ((رواه مسلم))
On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying: “If a man enters his house and mentions God Almighty when he enters and eats, Satan says to his companions: You have no place to sleep or have dinner. And if he enters and does not mention God Almighty when he enters, Satan says: You have spent the night; and if he does not mention God Almighty when eating, he says: You have spent the night and dinner.” ((Narrated by Muslim))

Hudhaifah (RA)
وعن حذيفة رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ كنا إذا حضرنا مع رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم طعاماً، لم نضع أيدينا حتى يبدأ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فيضع يده‏.‏ وإنا حضرنا معه مرةً طعاماً، فجاءت جارية كأنها تدفع، فذهبت لتضع يدها في الطعام، فأخذ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بيدها، ثم جاء أعرابي كأنما يدفع فأخذ بيده، فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ ‏
"‏إن الشيطان يستحل الطعام أن لا يذكر اسم الله تعالى عليه، وإنه جاء بهذه الجارية ليستحل بها، فأخذت بيدها، فجاء بهذا الأعرابي ليستحل به، فأخذت بيده، والذي نفسي بيده إن يده في يدي مع يديهما‏"‏ ثم ذكر اسم الله تعالى وأكل‏.‏ ‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On the authority of Hudhayfah, may God be pleased with him, he said: When we attended a meal with the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, we would not put down our hands until the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, began to place his hand. And once we attended a meal with him, and a maid came as if she was pushing, so she went to put her hand in the food, and the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, took her hand. Then a Bedouin came as if pushing, so he took his hand, so the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: He said: “The devil Food is permissible if the name of God Almighty is not mentioned on it, and he brought this slave girl to make it permissible, so I took her hand, and he brought this Bedouin to make it permissible, so I took his hand, and by the One in whose hand my soul is, his hand is in my hand along with their hands.” Then he mentioned the name of God Almighty and ate. ((Narrated by Muslim))

Umaiyyah bin Makhshi (RA)
وعن أمية بن مخشى الصحابي رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم جالساً ، ورجل يأكل، فلم يسم الله حتى لم يبق من طعامه إلا لقمة، فلما رفعها إلى فيه، قال‏:‏ بسم الله أوله وآخره، فضحك النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم، ثم قال‏:‏‏
"‏ما زال الشيطان يأكل معه، فلما ذكر اسم الله استقاء ما فيه بطنه‏"‏ ‏.‏ ‏‏((رواه أبو داود والنسائي))
On the authority of Umayyah ibn Makhfi, the companion, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was sitting, and a man was eating, and he did not say the name of God until only a morsel of his food remained. When he raised it to his mouth, he said: In the name of God, first and last. Then the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, laughed, then said: “Satan kept eating with him, and when he mentioned the name of God, he vomited out whatever was in his stomach.” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Nasa’i))

وعن عائشة رضى الله عنها قالت‏:‏ كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يأكل طعاماً في ستة من أصحابه، فجاء أعرابى، فأكله بلقمتين‏.‏ فقال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏
"‏أما إنه لو سمى لكفاكم‏"‏‏.‏((رواه الترمذي))
On the authority of Aisha, may God be pleased with her, she said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was eating food with six of his companions, and a Bedouin came and ate it in two mouthfuls. The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “If he had named him, it would have been sufficient for you.” (Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi)

Mu'adh bin Anas (RA)
وعن معاذ بن أنس رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ ‏
"‏من أكل طعاماً فقال‏:‏ الحمد الله الذي أطعمني هذا، ورزقنيه من غير حول منى ولا قوةٍ، غفر له ما تقدم من ذنبه‏"‏ ‏‏.‏((رواه أبو داود والترمذي))
On the authority of Muadh bin Anas, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Whoever eats food and says: Praise be to God who fed me this, and provided me with it without my power or strength, his previous sins will be forgiven.” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud and Al-Tirmidhi))

Jabir (RA)
وعن جابر رضى الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم سأل أهله الأدم فقالوا‏:‏ ما عندنا إلا خل، فدعا به، فجعل يأكل ويقول‏:‏ ‏
"‏نعم الأدم الخل، نعم الأدم الخل‏"‏ ‏.‏‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, asked his family about Adam and they said: We only have vinegar. So he called for it, and he began to eat and say: “How good is the vinegary blood, how good is the vinegary blood.” ((Narrated by Muslim))

Iyas bin Salamah bin al-Akwa' (RA)
وعن سلمةَ بن الأَكْوَع أنَّ رَجُلاً أَكَلَ عِنْدَ رَسُولِ الله بِشِمَالِهِ ، فَقَالَ : « كُلْ بِيَمِينِكَ » قَالَ : لا أسْتَطِيعُ . قَالَ : « لا اسْتَطَعْتَ » ! مَا مَنَعَهُ إِلا الكِبْرُ ! فَمَا رَفَعَهَا إِلَى فِيهِ . ((رواه مسلم))
On the authority of Salamah bin Al-Akwa’, that a man ate with the Messenger of God with his left hand, and he said: “Eat with your right hand.” He said: I cannot. He said: “No, you can’t!” Nothing prevented him except arrogance! He did not raise it to his mouth. ((Narrated by Muslim))

Abdullah bin Busr (RA)
وعن عبد الله بن بشر رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ كان للنبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قصعة يقال لها‏:‏ الغراء، يحملها أربعة رجال، فلما أضحوا وسجدوا الضحى أتى بتلك القصعة، يعنى وقد ثرد فيها، فالتقوا عليه ، فلما كثروا جثا رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏.‏فقال أعرابي ‏:‏ ما هذه الجلسة‏؟‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ إن الله جعلني عبداً كريماً، ولم يجعلني جباراً عنيداً، ثم قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏‏
"‏كلوا من حواليها، ودعوا ذروتها يبارك فيها‏"‏ .‏((رواه أبو داود))  
On the authority of Abdullah bin Bishr, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, had a bowl called: Al-Ghara, carried by four men. When they sacrificed the sacrifice and prostrated the noon prayer, he brought that bowl, meaning he had spread out in it. They gathered around him, and when they were large, the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, knelt down. A Bedouin said: What is this gathering? The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: The Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, knelt down. God made me a generous servant, and He did not make me a tyrant He was stubborn, then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Eat from around it, and leave its peak and bless it.” ((Narrated by Abu Dawud))

Anas ibn Malik (RA)
وعن أنس رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم جالساً مقعياً يأكل تمراً.‏ ‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, he said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, sitting on his knees eating dates. ((Narrated by Muslim))

Kab Bin Malik
وعن كعب بن مالك رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يأكل بثلاث أصابع ، فإذا فرغ لعقها‏.‏‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On the authority of Ka’b bin Malik, may God be pleased with him, he said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, eating with three fingers, and when he finished, he licked them. ((Narrated by Muslim)) ‏

Jabir (RA)
وعن جابر رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أمر بلعق الأصابع والصحفة، وقال‏:‏ ‏
"‏إنكم لا تدرون في أي طعامكم البركة‏"‏.‏‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ordered the licking of the fingers and the dish, and he said: “You do not know what blessing your food contains.” ((Narrated by Muslim))

Jabir (RA)
وعنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏
"‏إذا وقعت لقمة أحدكم، فليأخذها فليمط ما كان بها من أذى وليأكلها، ولا يدعها للشيطان، ولا يمسح يده بالمنديل حتى يلعق أصابعه؛ فإنه لا يدرى في أي طعامه البركة‏"‏ .‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On his authority, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If a morsel of one of you falls, let him take it and remove any dirt on it and eat it, and not leave it for the devil, and let him not wipe his hand with a handkerchief until he licks his fingers, for he does not know in which food his food is blessed.” ((Narrated by Muslim)) ‏

Jabir (RA)
وعنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏
"‏إن الشيطان يحضر أحدكم عند كل شئ من شأنه، حتى يحضره عند طعامه؛ فإذا سقطت لقمة أحدكم فليأخذها فليمط ما كان بها من أذى، ثم ليأكلها ولا يدعها للشيطان، فإذا فرغ فليلعق أصابعه؛ فإنه لا يدرى في أي طعامه البركة‏"‏‏‏.‏‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On his authority, the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The devil is present with one of you at everything that concerns him, even when he eats. If a morsel of one of you falls, let him take it and remove any dirt that is on it, then let him eat it and not leave it for the devil. When he finishes, let him lick his fingers, for he does not know in which food his food is blessed.” ((Narrated by Muslim))

Anas ibn Malik (RA)
وعن أنس رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ كان رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم إذا أكل طعاماً، لعق أصابعه الثلاث، وقال‏:‏‏"‏إذا سقطت لقمة أحدكم فليأخذها، وليمط عنها الأذى، وليأكلها،ولا يدعها للشيطان‏"‏ وأمرنا أن نسلت القصعة وقال‏:‏ ‏"‏إنكم لا تدرون في أي طعامكم البركة‏"‏ ‏.‏‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, he said: Whenever the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, ate food, he would lick his three fingers and say: “If a morsel of one of you falls, let him take it, remove any dirt from it, and eat it, and not leave it to the devil.” And he commanded us to unseal the bowl and said: “You do not know in which of your food the blessing lies.” ((Narrated by Muslim))

Sa'id bin al-Harith (RA)
وعن سعيد بن الحارث أنه سأل جابراً رضى الله عنه عن الوضوء مما مست النار، فقال‏:‏ لا ، قد كنا زمن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لا نجد مثل ذلك الطعام إلا قليلاً، فإذا نحن وجدناه، لم يكن لنا مناديل إلا أكفنا وسواعدنا وأقدامنا، ثم نصلى ولا نتوضأ‏.‏ ‏‏((‏رواه البخارى‏)‏‏)‏‏
On the authority of Saeed bin Al-Harith, he asked Jabir, may God be pleased with him, about performing ablution on food that had touched fire, and he said: No, at the time of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, we would not find such food except a little, and when we did find it, we would have no napkins except for our palms, forearms, and feet, and then we would pray and not perform ablution. ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari))

Jabir ibn Abdullah (RA)
وعن جابر رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ سمعت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يقول‏:‏ ‏
"‏طعام الواحد يكفى الاثنين، وطعام الاثنين يكفى الأربعة، وطعام الأربعة يكفى الثمانية‏"‏.‏‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏
On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, he said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “The food of one is sufficient for two, the food of two is sufficient for four, and the food for four is sufficient for eight.” ((Narrated by Muslim))

Ibn Abbas (RA)
وعن ابن عباس رضى الله عنهما قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ ‏
"‏لا تشربوا واحداً كشرب البعير، ولكن اشربوا مثنى وثلاث، وسموا إذا أنتم شربتم،واحمدوا إذا أنتم رفعتم‏"‏‏.‏((رواه الترمذي))
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Do not drink one thing like a camel drinks, but drink two and three, and praise yourself when you drink, and praise when you are raised.” ((Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi))

Abu Qatadah (RA)
وعن أبى قتادة رضى الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى أن يتنفس في الإناء‏.‏‏((متفق عليه))
On the authority of Abu Qatada, may God be pleased with him, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade breathing into a vessel. ((Agreed upon))

Anas ibn Malik (RA)
وعن أنس رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أتى بلبن قد شيب بماء، وعن يمينه أعرابي، وعن يساره أبو بكر رضى الله عنه ، فشرب، ثم أعطى الأعرابي وقال‏:‏ ‏
"‏الأيمن فالأيمن‏"‏.((متفق عليه))
On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, brought milk that had turned gray with water, and on his right was a Bedouin, and on his left was Abu Bakr, may God be pleased with him. He drank, then gave it to the Bedouin and said: “The right one, then the right one.” (Agreed upon)

Sahl bin Sa'd (RA)
وعن سهل بن سعد رضى الله عنه أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أتى بشراب، فشرب منه وعن يمينه غلام، وعن يساره أشياخ، فقال للغلام‏:‏ ‏
"‏أتأذن لي أن أعطى هؤلاء‏.‏‏؟‏‏"‏ فقال الغلام‏:‏ لا والله ، لا أوثر بنصيبي منك أحدا، فتله رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم في يده‏.‏((متفق عليه))
On the authority of Sahl bin Saad, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, brought a drink, and he drank from it, and a boy was on his right, and skewers on his left, and he said to the boy: “Do you permit me to give these?” The boy said: “No, by God, I would not prefer my share to anyone over you.” So the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, took it in his hand. ((Agreed upon)) ‏

Abu Hurairah (RA)
وعن أبى هريرة رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ نهى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم أن يشرب من في السقاء أو القربة.‏((متفق عليه))
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, forbade drinking from someone in a waterskin or waterskin. ((Agreed upon))

Riyad as-Salihin # 2/763
Umm Thabit Kabshah , Bint Thabit (RA)
وعن أم ثابت كبشة بنت ثابت أخت حسان بن ثابت رضى الله عنه وعنها قالت‏:‏ دخل عليَّ رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم، فشرب من فيّ قربة معلقة قائماً، فقمت إلى فيها فقطعته‏ ‏((رواه الترمذي وقال: حديث حسن صحيح)).
وإنما قطعتها لتحفظ موضع فم رَسُول اللَّهِ ﷺ وتتبرك به وتصونه عن الابتذال. وهذا الحديث محمول على بيان الجواز، والحديثان السابقان لبيان الأفضل والأكمل، والله أعلم.
An-Nawawi said that the reason why she did this was to preserve the part of the water-skin which the lips of Messenger of Allah (ﷺ) touched, gain blessings from it, and preserve it from dishonor. This narration is understood to show permissibility whereas the previous two narrations are to show what is better and closer to perfection. Allah knows best.

Ibn Abbas (RA)
وعن ابن عباس رضى الله عنهما أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى أن يتنفس في الإناء، أو ينفخ فيه‏.‏((رواه الترمذي))
On the authority of Ibn Abbas, may God be pleased with them both, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade breathing into a vessel, or blowing into it. ((Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi))

al-Nazzal bin Sabrah (RA)
وعن النزال بن سبرة رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ أتى علي رضى الله عنه باب الرحبة فشرب قائماً، وقال‏:‏ إني رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم فعل كما رأيتموني فعلت‏.‏‏‏((‏رواه البخارى‏)‏‏)‏‏
On the authority of Al-Nazzal bin Sabrah, may God be pleased with him, he said: Ali, may God be pleased with him, came to Bab Al-Rahba and drank while standing, and said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, do as you saw me do. ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari))

Abdullah ibn Umar (RA)
وعن ابن عمر رضى الله عنهما قال‏:‏كنا نأكل على عهد رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ونحن نمشى ، ونشرب ونحن قيام‏.‏((رواه الترمذي))
On the authority of Ibn Omar, may God be pleased with them, he said: During the time of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, we used to eat while walking, and drink while standing. ((Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi))

Amr Ibn Shuayb (RA)
وعن عمرو بن شعيب عن أبيه عن جده رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ رأيت رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم يشرب قائماً أو قاعداً‏.‏ ((رواه الترمذي))
On the authority of Amr bin Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, may God be pleased with him, he said: I saw the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, drinking, standing or sitting. ((Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi))

Anas ibn Malik (RA)
وعن أنس رضى الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم أنه نهى أن يشرب الرجل قائماً‏.‏ قال قتادة‏:‏ فقلنا لأنس‏:‏ فالأكل‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ذلك أشر -أو أخبث- ‏.‏ وفى رواية له أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم زجر عن الشرب قائما.‏‏((رواه مسلم))‏

وفى رواية له أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم زجر عن الشرب قائماً‏.‏
On the authority of Anas, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, that he forbade a man from drinking while standing. Qatada said: So we said to Anas: What about eating? He said: That is more evil - or more insidious -. And in his narration, the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, discouraged drinking while standing. ((Narrated by Muslim)) In his narration, the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, discouraged drinking while standing

Abu Hurairah (RA)
وعن أبى هريرة رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ قال رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم ‏:‏ لا يشربن أحد منكم قائماً، فمن نسى فليستقئ‏"‏‏‏‏. ((رواه مسلم))‏
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “None of you should drink while standing, so whoever forgets should vomit.” ((Narrated by Muslim))

Riyad as-Salihin # 2/773
Anas ibn Malik (RA)
عن أنس رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ حضرت الصلاة، فقام من كان قريب الدار إلى أهله، وبقى قوم فأتى رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم بمخضب من حجارة، فصغر المخضب أن يبسط فيه كفه، فتوضأ القوم كلهم‏.‏ قالوا‏:‏ كم كنتم‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ثمانين وزيادة‏.‏((متفق عليه))، هذه رواية البخاري.
وفي رواية مسلم:‏ أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم دعا بإناء من ماء، فأتى بقدح رحراح فيه شئ من ماء، فوضع أصابعه فيه‏.‏ قال أنس ‏:‏ فجعلت أنظر إلى الماء ينبع من بين أصابعه ‎، فحزرت من توضأ ما بين السبعين إلى الثمانين‏.‏
[Al-Bukhari and Muslim]. This is Al-Bukhari's version. In Muslim's version "'that Allah's Apostle (ﷺ) called for a container of water so he was given a vessel that had some water.' Anas said 'Then I started looking at the water spouting from his fingers. Then I estimated (the persons) and they were between seventy and eighty.'"

"‏إن كان عندك ماء بات هذه الليلة في سنة وإلا كرعنا‏"‏‏‏.‏‏‏((‏رواه البخارى‏)‏‏)‏‏
On the authority of Jabir, may God be pleased with him, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, entered upon a man from the Ansar, and with him was a friend of his, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If you have water, spend the night this night in a year, otherwise we will stay late.” ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari))

Hudhaifah (RA)
وعن حذيفة رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ إن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نهانا عن الحرير والديباج والشرب في آنية الذهب والفضة، وقال‏:‏ ‏
"‏هي لهم في الدنيا، وهى لكم في الآخرة‏"‏‏.((متفق عليه))
On the authority of Hudhayfah, may God be pleased with him, he said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, forbade us from wearing silk, brocade, and drinking from vessels of gold and silver, and he said: “It is theirs in this world, and it is yours in the hereafter.” (Agreed upon) ‏

Umm Salamah (RA)
وعن أم سلمة رضى الله عنها أن رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قال‏:‏ ‏"‏الذي يشرب في آنية الفضة إنما يجرجر في بطنه نار جهنم‏"‏‏.((متفق عليه))
‏ وفى ‏:‏ ‏"‏إن الذي يأكل أو يشرب في آنية الفضة والذهب‏"‏
وفى رواية له‏:‏ ‏"‏ من شرب في إناءٍ من ذهب أو فضة فإنما يجرجر في بطنه ناراً من جهنم‏.‏
On the authority of Umm Salamah, may God be pleased with her, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, said: “Whoever drinks from silver vessels only draws the fire of Hell into his stomach.” ((Agreed upon)) And in: “He who eats or drinks from silver and gold vessels.” In his narration: “Whoever drinks from a vessel of gold or silver will only draw fire from Hell into his stomach.”

وَعَنِ ابْنِ مَسعُود رضي الله عنه، قَالَ: كَانَ مِنْ دُعَاءِ رَسُوْلِ اللهصلى الله عليه وسلم: اَللهم إِنِّيْ أَسْأَلُكَ مُوْجِبَاتِ رَحْمَتِكَ، وَعَزَائِمَ مَغْفِرَتِكَ، وَالسَّلَامَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ إِثْمٍ، وَالْغَنِيْمَةَ مِنْ كُلِّ بِرٍّ، وَالفَوْزَ بِالْجَنَّةِ، وَالنَّجَاةَ مِنَ النَّارِ
On the authority of Ibn Masoud, may God be pleased with him, he said: One of the supplications of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was: Oh God, I ask you for the reasons for your mercy, the means for your forgiveness, and safety. From all sin, and the spoils from all righteousness, and the victory in Paradise, and salvation from Hell.

‘Umar ibn ‘Abu Salamah (may Allah be pleased with him) said: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said to me‏‏ “Paint God and all your right hand, and all that follows you.”‏ (Agreed)

"‏الحمد لله حمداً كثيراً طَيِّباً مباركاً فيه، غير مكفى ولامودع، ولا مستغنى عنه ربنا‏"‏ ‏‏.‏(‏‏(‏رواه البخارى‏)‏‏)‏‏
Abu Umamah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:‏ ‏ “Praise be to Allah, and praise be to Allah, a good and blessed one in it, insufficient and not deposited, and no dispensable from it our Lord.”‏Narrated by Bukhari ) )‏‏

Abu Hurayrah (may Allah be pleased with him) said:‏ ‏ The Messenger of Allah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) never gave food if he cried it, and if he hated it, he would leave it.‏ (Agreed)

Abu Mas'ud al-Badri (RA)
عن أبى مسعود البدرى رضى الله عنه قال‏:‏ دعا رجل النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم لطعام صنعه له خامس خمسة، فتبعهم رجل، فلما بلغ الباب، قال النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ ‏
"‏إن هذا تبعنا؛ فإن شئت أن تأذن له، وإن شئت رجع‏"‏ قال‏:‏ بل آذن له يا رسول الله ‏.‏((متفق عليه))  
Abu Mas'ud al-Badri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that a man of the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) called for food made for him by the fifth of five, so a man followed them, and when he reached the door, the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:‏ ‏ “This is the way that follows us; if you wish to authorize him, and if you wish, he will return.” agreed))

"‏ يا غلام سم الله تعالى، وكل بيمينك،وكل مما يليك‏"‏ .((متفق عليه))  
‘Umar ibn ‘Abu Salām (may Allah be pleased with him) said: I was a child in the stone of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him), and my hand was in the page.‏ ‏ “O boy of the name of Allah, and all your right hand, and all that follows you.” agreed))

Jabalah bin Suhaim (RA)
عن جبلة بن سحيم قال: أصابنا عام سنةٍ مع ابن الزبير، فرزقنا تمراً، وكان عبد الله بن عمر رضى الله عنهما يمر بنا ونحن نأكل، فيقول: لا تقارونوا، فإن النبى نهى عن الإقران، ثم يقول:
"إلا أن يستأذن الرجل أخاه" ((متفق عليه))
He said: We have hit a year with Ibn Zubayr, we have passed through a date, and Abdullah ibn Umar (may Allah be pleased with him) used to pass by us while we were eating, and he would say: Do not compare, for the Prophet forbade the pairing, and then he would say: "Unless a man asks permission from his brother" (Agreed)

عن وحشى بن حرب رضى الله عنه أن أصحاب رسول الله صلى الله عليه وسلم قالوا‏:‏ يا رسول الله ، إنا نأكل ولا نشبع قال‏:‏ ‏"‏فلعلكم تفترقون‏"‏ قالوا‏:‏ نعم‏.‏ قال‏:‏ فاجتمعوا على طعامكم، واذكروا اسم الله ، يبارك لكم فيه‏"‏ ((رواه أبو داود)) ‏‏‏
The companions of the Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said: "O Messenger of Allah , we eat and do not be satisfied . "‏ He said, ‘Commerge on your food, and remember the name of Allah, blessed be to you in it.’ ‏‏‏

"‏البركة تنزل وسط الطعام، فكلوا من حافتيه ولا تأكلوا من وسطه‏"‏‏‏.((رواه أبو داود والترمذي))

Ibn ‘Abbās (may Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) said:‏ ‏ “If any of you eat food, do not wipe his fingers until he licks them or licks them.”‏ ‏(Agreed)

عن أبى سعيد الخدرى رضى الله عنه أن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم نهى عن النفخ في الشراب، فقال رجل ‏:‏ القذاة أراها في الإناء‏؟‏ فقالب‏:‏ ‏"‏أهرقها‏"‏ قال‏:‏ إني لا أروى من نفس واحد‏؟‏ قال‏:‏ ‏"‏فأبن القدح إذاً عن فيك‏"‏.‏((رواه الترمذي))
Abu Sa‘īd al-Khudri (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that the Prophet (may Allah's peace and blessings be upon him) forbade blowing in the drink, and a man said: I see it in the vessel?‏ He said, ‘I’m not telling you of one breath.’‏ He said, ‘The son of the mug is about you.’ Narrated by Al-Tirmidhi))
