Hadith #46454
وعن أبي هريرة رضي الله عنه عن النبي صلى الله عليه وسلم قال:
"من كان يؤمن بالله واليوم الآخر، فليقل خيرًا، أو ليصمت" ((متفق عليه)).
وهذا صريح أنه ينبغي أن لا يتكلم إلا إذا كان الكلام خيرًا، وهو الذي ظهرت مصلحته، ومتى شك في ظهور المصلحة، فلا يتكلم.
On the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, he said:
“Whoever believes in God and the Last Day, let him speak good, or remain silent.” (Agreed upon)
This is clear that he should not speak unless the speech is good, and that is what is in his interest, and if he doubts whether the benefit will appear, then he should not speak.
