Riyad as-Salihin — Hadith #46546
Hadith #46546
On the authority of Masruq, he said: We entered upon Abdullah bin Masoud, may God be pleased with him, and he said: O people, whoever knows something, let him say it, and whoever does not know, let him say: God knows best, for from knowledge is that a man says of what he does not know: God knows best. God Almighty said to his Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him: {Say, “I ask you for no reward, and I am not one of those who complacent.”} ((Narrated by Al-Bukhari)).
