Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #46859

Al-Makki narrated to us, he said: Hanzalah narrated to us, on the authority of Salim bin Abdullah, who said: I heard Abdullah bin Omar say: Omar found a suit of Istibraq. So he brought it to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and said: Buy this and wear it on Friday, or when delegations come to you, and he said He, may the peace and blessings of God be upon him: It is only worn by one who has no share in the Hereafter, and the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was brought with a suit, so he sent a suit to Omar. And to Osama with a request, and to Ali with a request, and Omar said: O Messenger of God, you sent it to me. I heard you say What did you say about it? Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: You sell it, or you fulfill your need with it.
