حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ بَشَّارٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْمَلِكِ بْنُ الصَّبَّاحِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنِ ابْنِ أَبِي مُوسَى، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، أَنَّهُ كَانَ يَدْعُو بِهَذَا الدُّعَاءِ: رَبِّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطِيئَتِي وَجَهْلِي، وَإِسْرَافِي فِي أَمْرِي كُلِّهِ، وَمَا أَنْتَ أَعْلَمُ بِهِ مِنِّي، اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي خَطَئِي كُلَّهُ، وَعَمْدِي وَجَهْلِي وَهَزْلِي، وَكُلُّ ذَلِكَ عِنْدِي. اللَّهُمَّ اغْفِرْ لِي مَا قَدَّمْتُ وَمَا أَخَّرْتُ، وَمَا أَسْرَرْتُ وَمَا أَعْلَنْتُ، أَنْتَ الْمُقَدِّمُ وَأَنْتَ الْمُؤَخِّرُ، وَأَنْتَ عَلَى كُلِّ شَيْءٍ قَدِيرٌ.
Muhammad ibn Bashar narrated to us, he said: Abd al-Malik ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, he said: Shu’bah narrated to us, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Ibn Abi Musa, On the authority of his father, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, that he used to pray this supplication: My Lord, forgive me my sin and my ignorance, and my extravagance in my affairs. All of it, and you do not know it better than me. Oh God, forgive me all my mistakes, my willfulness, my ignorance, and my jest, and all of that is with me. Oh God, forgive me what I presented and did not delay, and I did not conceal what I announced. You are the advance and you are the delay, and you are capable of all things.
