حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ مَخْلَدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ بِلاَلٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ سَعِيدٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عَامِرِ بْنِ رَبِيعَةَ يَقُولُ: قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ: أَرِقَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم ذَاتَ لَيْلَةٍ فَقَالَ: لَيْتَ رَجُلاً صَالِحًا مِنْ أَصْحَابِي يَجِيئُنِي فَيَحْرُسَنِي اللَّيْلَةَ، إِذْ سَمِعْنَا صَوْتَ السِّلاَحِ، فَقَالَ: مَنْ هَذَا؟ قَالَ: سَعْدٌ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، جِئْتُ أَحْرُسُكَ، فَنَامَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم حَتَّى سَمِعْنَا غَطِيطَهُ.
Khalid bin Mukhlid told us, he said: Suleiman bin Bilal told us, he said: Yahya bin Saeed told us, he said: I heard Abdullah bin Amir bin Rabia says: Aisha said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, lost sleep one night and said: I wish a righteous man from among my companions would come to me. He is guarding me tonight, when we heard the sound of weapons. He said: Who is this? He said: Saad, O Messenger of God, I came to guard you. Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, fell asleep. Until we heard his snoring...
