Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #47379

Ahmad bin Ishaq told us, he said: Yahya bin Hammad told us, he said: Abu Awanah told us, on the authority of Asim bin Kulayb, he said: He told me Suhail bin Dhira’ said: I heard Abu Yazid or Ma’an bin Yazid that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Gather in your mosques, and whenever A people gathered to call me to the call to prayer, and the first to come came to us and sat down, and one of us spoke, then he said: Praise be to God, without whom there is no praise. A destination, and beyond it there is no way out. He became angry and got up, so we blamed each other, so we said: The first one to come came to us, so he went to a mosque. Another sat in it, so we came to him and spoke to him, so he came with us and sat in his seat or near his seat, then he said: Praise be to God who has not He willed, He placed it before him, and whatever He wished, He placed behind it. And indeed, part of the statement is magic. Then He commanded us and taught us.
