Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #47583

Hadith #47583
Abu Asim told us, and some of it made me understand on the authority of Abu Hafs bin Ali. He said: Ibn Jurayj told us. He said: Amr bin Abi told me. Sufyan, that Amr bin Abdullah bin Safwan informed him, that Kalada bin Hanbal informed him, that Safwan bin Umayyah sent him to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. May God bless him and grant him peace, in the conquest of Laban, Jeddiyah, and Dhahabis. Abu Asim said: It means the herb, and the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was at the top of the valley. I did not greet nor did I surrender. Should I ask permission? He said: Go back and say peace be upon you. Shall I come in? That was after Safwan had converted to Islam.
