Al-Adab Al-Mufrad — Hadith #47609
Hadith #47609
Muhammad ibn al-Sabbah narrated to us, he said: Al-Walid ibn Abi Thawr narrated to us, on the authority of Simak, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, who said: Return the greetings to Whoever is a Jew, a Christian, or a Magian, that is because God says: {And when you are greeted with a greeting, greet with the best. From it or return it}.
