حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ تَلِيدٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَاصِمُ بْنُ حَكِيمٍ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ يَحْيَى بْنَ أَبِي عَمْرٍو السَّيْبَانِيَّ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ عُقْبَةَ بْنِ عَامِرٍ الْجُهَنِيِّ، أَنَّهُ مَرَّ بِرَجُلٍ هَيْئَتُهُ هَيْئَةُ مُسْلِمٍ، فَسَلَّمَ، فَرَدَّ عَلَيْهِ: وَعَلَيْكَ وَرَحْمَةُ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتُهُ، فَقَالَ لَهُ الْغُلاَمُ: إِنَّهُ نَصْرَانِيٌّ، فَقَامَ عُقْبَةُ فَتَبِعَهُ حَتَّى أَدْرَكَهُ فَقَالَ: إِنَّ رَحْمَةَ اللهِ وَبَرَكَاتَهُ عَلَى الْمُؤْمِنِينَ، لَكِنْ أَطَالَ اللَّهُ حَيَاتَكَ، وَأَكْثَرَ مَالَكَ وَوَلَدَكَ.
Saeed bin Talid told us, he said: Ibn Wahb told us, he said: Asim bin Hakim told me that he heard Yahya bin Abi Amr Al-Sibani, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Uqba bin Amir Al-Juhani, that he passed by a man with the appearance of a Muslim, so he greeted him, and he replied to him: And on you. And mercy God and His blessings. The boy said to him: He is a Christian. Uqba stood up and followed him until he caught up with him and said: God’s mercy and blessings are upon him. Believers, may God prolong your life and increase your wealth and children.
