حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ كَثِيرٍ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ عِمْرَانَ بْنِ مُسْلِمِ بْنِ رِيَاحٍ الثَّقَفِيِّ، عَنْ عَلِيِّ بْنِ عُمَارَةَ قَالَ: جَاءَ أَبُو أَيُّوبَ الأَنْصَارِيُّ، فَصَعِدْتُ بِهِ عَلَى سَطْحٍ أَجْلَحَ، فَنَزَلَ وَقَالَ: كِدْتُ أَنْ أَبِيتَ اللَّيْلَةَ وَلاَ ذِمَّةَ لِي.
Muhammad ibn Kathir narrated to us, he said: Sufyan narrated to us, on the authority of Imran ibn Muslim ibn Riyah al-Thaqafi, on the authority of Ali ibn Amara, who said: Abu Ayoub Al-Ansari, so I took him to the highest roof, and he came down and said: I almost spent the night and I have no obligation.
