Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #48348

On the authority of Othman bin Abi Al-Aas, he said: The last thing he entrusted to the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was: “If you lead a people, make the prayer easy for them.” It was narrated by Muslim, and in his narration: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said to him: “The mother of your people.” He said: I said, O Messenger of God, I am I find something in myself. He said: “Come closer.” So he made me sit in his hands, then he put his palm on my chest between my breasts, then he said: “Turn around.” So he placed it on my back between my shoulders, then he said: “The mother of your people, so whoever is the mother of a people, let him take it easy, for among them is the old, and there is the sick, and there is the weak among them, and even the understanding If one of you prays alone, let him pray however he wants.”
