وَعَنْ جَابِرٍ أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ يُحَدِّثُ عَنْ فَتْرَةِ الْوَحْيِ قَالَ: " فَبَيْنَا أَنَا أَمْشِي سَمِعْتُ صَوْتًا مِنَ السَّمَاءِ فَرَفَعْتُ بَصَرِي فَإِذَا الْمَلَكُ الَّذِي جَاءَنِي بِحِرَاءٍ قَاعِدٌ عَلَى كُرْسِيٍّ بَيْنَ السَّمَاءِ وَالْأَرْضِ فَجُئِثْتُ مِنْهُ رُعْبًا حَتَّى هَوَيْتُ إِلَى الأرضِ فجئتُ أَهلِي فقلتُ: زَمِّلُونِي زَمِّلُونِي فَأنْزل اللَّهُ تَعَالَى: [يَا أيُّها الْمُدَّثِّرُ. قُمْ فَأَنْذِرْ وَرَبَّكَ فَكَبِّرْ. وَثِيَابَكَ فَطَهِّرْ. وَالرجز فاهجر] ثمَّ حمي الْوَحْي وتتابع ". مُتَّفق عَلَيْهِ
On the authority of Jabir, he heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, speaking about the period of revelation. He said: “While I was walking, I heard a voice from the sky.” Then I raised my eyes, and behold, the angel who had come to me in Hira was sitting on a throne between the heavens and the earth, and I was terrified by him until I descended to the ground, and I came to my family and said: Join me, join me, so God Almighty revealed: [O you who are Muddaththir! Arise and warn your Lord, so be great. And purify your clothes. And the embarrassment, abandon it.] Then the revelation became intense and continued.” Agreed upon.
