Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #48562

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: I went out to Al-Tur and met Ka’b Al-Ahbar, so I sat with him and he told me about the Torah, and I told him about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. peace and blessings of God be upon him, and it was while I spoke to him that I said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “The best day on which I went out The sun is on Friday. On it Adam was created, on it he was descended, on it he was repented of, and on it he died, and on it the Hour will come, and there is no living creature except that it is mutilated on Friday. From the time of morning until the sun rises in the twilight of the Hour, except for the jinn and mankind, and therein is an Hour that no Muslim slave will encounter. While he was praying, he asked God for something but He gave it to him. Ka'b said: That is one day every year. So I said: Rather, every Friday. He said, “Ka’b recites the Torah.” He said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, spoke the truth. Abu Hurairah said: I met Abdullah bin Salam and spoke to him in my meeting with Ka’b and what I spoke to him on Friday and said to him: Ka’b said: Is that a day every year? Abdullah bin Salam said: Kaab lied. So I said to him, “Then Ka’b read the Torah.” He said: Rather, it is every Friday. Abdullah bin Salam said: Ka’b spoke the truth. Then Abdullah bin Salam said: I knew the sign of An hour. Abu Hurairah said, “So I said to him: Tell me about it.” Abdullah bin Salam said: It is the last hour of Friday. Abu Hurairah said: So I said: How can it be the last hour on Friday when the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “No servant will encounter it.” He is a Muslim He prays and at that hour he does not pray? Abdullah bin Salam said: Did not the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Whoever sits while waiting for prayer is in prayer until he prays?” Abu Hurairah said: I said: Yes. He said: It is that. Narrated by Malik, Abu Dawud, and Al-Tirmidhi Al-Nasa’i and Ahmad narrated what he said: Ka’b told the truth.
