Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #51144

On the authority of Abu Hurairah, he said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “A prophet from among the prophets attacked and said to his people: Let no king’s man follow me.” He took a woman and wanted to build with her, but he did not build with her, and no one built houses and did not raise their roofs, nor did anyone buy sheep or sheep. Khalifat while he was waiting for her to give birth, so he invaded a corner of the village during the afternoon prayer or thereabouts, so he said to the sun: You are commanded, and I am It is ordered, O God, withhold it from us, so it was withheld until God granted him victory, and he gathered the spoils, and then the fire came to consume it, but you did not feed it. He said: Indeed, there is a deception among you, so let a man from every tribe pledge allegiance to me. Then a man’s hand stuck to his hand, and he said: There are deceptions among you. They brought a head like the head of a cow made of gold. So he placed it and the fire came and consumed it.” He added in a narration: “The spoils were not permissible for anyone before us, then God made them permissible for us.” “He saw our weakness and inability, so he made them lawful for us.”
