Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #51353

On the authority of Anas or someone else, that the Messenger of God, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, asked permission to go to Sa’d bin Ubadah and said: “May the peace and mercy of God be upon you,” and he said Saad: May the peace and mercy of God be upon you. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not listen until he said three salaams and replied. Sa'd spoke to him three times, but he did not listen to him. Then the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, returned, and Sa'd followed him and said: O Messenger of God, may my father and mother be sacrificed for you as long as you surrender. As a greeting to my ears: I responded to you but did not hear you. I wanted to amplify your peace and blessings, then They entered the house, and raisins were brought to him, and the Prophet of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, ate. When he finished, he said: “The righteous have eaten your food, and the angels have prayed upon you.” And those who fast break their fast with you.” Narrated in “Sharh Al-Sunnah”
