Mishkat al-Masabih — Hadith #52174

On the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: Damada came to Mecca and was of the worst kind, and he was performing ruqyah because of this wind, so he heard the foolish people of Mecca say: Muhammad is crazy. He said: If I had seen this man, perhaps God would heal him at my hands. He said: Then he met him. He said: O Muhammad, I am performing incantation Of this smell, is it yours? Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “Indeed, praise be to God, we praise Him and seek His help. Whoever God guides, there is no one who can mislead him, and whoever He leads astray, there is no guide.” To Him, and I bear witness that there is no god but Allah alone, without any partner, and I bear witness that Muhammad is His servant. And His Messenger, as for what follows, he said: Repeat these words of yours to me. Then the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, repeated them to him three times, and he said: I have I have heard the words of the priests, the words of the magicians, and the words of the poets, but I have never heard these words like yours. It has reached the dictionary Al-Bahr: Give me your hand and I will pledge allegiance to you on Islam. He said: So he pledged allegiance to him. Narrated by Muslim, and in some versions of “Al-Masabih”: We have reached the sleep of the sea.
