وَعَنْ أُنَيْسَةَ بِنْتِ زَيْدِ بْنِ أَرْقَمَ عَنْ أَبِيهَا إِنَّ النَّبِيَّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسَلَّمَ دَخَلَ عَلَى زَيْدٍ يَعُودُهُ مِنْ مَرَضٍ كَانَ بِهِ قَالَ: «لَيْسَ عَلَيْكَ مِنْ مَرَضِكَ بَأْسٌ وَلَكِنْ كَيْفَ لَكَ إِذَا عُمِّرْتَ بَعْدِي فَعَمِيتَ؟» قَالَ: أَحْتَسِبُ وَأَصْبِرُ. قَالَ: «إِذًا تَدْخُلِ الْجَنَّةَ بِغَيْرِ حِسَاب» . قَالَ: فَعَمِيَ بَعْدَ مَا مَاتَ النَّبِيُّ صَلَّى اللَّهُ عَلَيْهِ وَسلم ثمَّ ردَّ اللَّهُ بَصَره ثمَّ مَاتَ
On the authority of Anisa bint Zaid bin Arqam, on the authority of her father, that the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, went to see Zaid to visit him from an illness he had, and said: “You do not have to It is bad for you to be sick, but what will happen to you if you live a lifetime after me and become blind? He said: I seek reward and be patient.
