Hadith #52466
وَعَنْ عَبْدِ اَللَّهِ بْنِ عَمْرٍو رَضِيَ اَللَّهُ عَنْهُمَا قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اَللَّهِ - صلى الله عليه وسلم -{
On the authority of Abdullah ibn Amr, may God be pleased with them both, who said: The Messenger of God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: “The testimony of a traitor, male or female, or one who harbors malice against his brother, is not permissible, nor is the testimony of one who is content with his lot in favor of his family.” Narrated by Ahmad and Abu Dawud. 1.1 - Hasan (good). Narrated by Ahmad (2/204 and 225-226) and Abu Dawud (3600) on the authority of Amr ibn Shu’ayb, on the authority of His father, on the authority of his grandfather. The wording is from Ahmad, who added: "And his testimony is permissible for others." The one who is content is he who benefits the family. In the second narration of Abu Dawud and Ahmad: "The testimony of the traitor, male and female, and the one who harbors malice against his brother is rejected, and the testimony of the one who is content is rejected for the family, but it is permissible for others." Abu Dawud said: "Malice is resentment and enmity (and in another version: malice and hatred)." The one who is content is the subordinate servant, like the private servant.
Narrated by
Abdullah Ibin Amr (RA)
