Jami at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27192

Wakee’ narrated this hadith on the authority of Hammam, but he misunderstood it, so he said, on the authority of Ghalib, on the authority of Anas. And the authentic one is on the authority of Abu Ghalib. This hadith was narrated by Abd al-Warith bin Sa`id and others on the authority of Abu Ghalib, like the narration of Hammam. They disagreed about the name of Abu Ghalib. This is what he said Some of them say his name is Nafi’ and he is called Rafi’. Some people of knowledge have taken this view, and this is the view of Ahmad and Ishaq.
