Hadith #286
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي ثَابِتُ بْنُ عُبَيْدٍ قَالَ‏:‏ مَا رَأَيْتُ أَحَدًا أَجَلَّ إِذَا جَلَسَ مَعَ الْقَوْمِ، وَلاَ أَفْكَهَ فِي بَيْتِهِ، مِنْ زَيْدِ بْنِ ثَابِتٍ‏.‏
Omar bin Hafs told us, he said: My father told us, he said: Al-Amash told us, he said: Thabit bin Ubaid told me, he said: I have not seen anyone more exalted. When he sits with the people, and I do not spoil him in his house, from Zayd ibn Thabit.
