Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 28/483
حَدَّثَنَا بِشْرٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عُبَيْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مِقْسَمٍ قَالَ: سَمِعْتُ جَابِرَ بْنَ عَبْدِ اللهِ يَقُولُ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: اتَّقُوا الظُّلْمَ، فَإِنَّ الظُّلْمَ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَاتَّقُوا الشُّحَّ، فَإِنَّ الشُّحَّ أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ، وَحَمَلَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْ سَفَكُوا دِمَاءَهُمْ، وَاسْتَحَلُّوا مَحَارِمَهُمْ.
Bishr told us, he said: Abdullah told us, he said: Dawud bin Qais told us, he said: Ubayd Allah bin Maqsim told us, he said: I heard Jabir bin Abdullah says: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Beware of injustice, for injustice will be oppression on the Day of Resurrection, and beware of stinginess. For miserliness destroyed those who came before you, and forced them to shed their blood and make lawful what they had forbidden.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 28/484
حَدَّثَنَا حَاتِمٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْحَسَنُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا الْمُنْكَدِرُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ الْمُنْكَدِرِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ قَالَ: قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم: يَكُونُ فِي آخِرِ أُمَّتِي مَسْخٌ، وَقَذْفٌ، وَخَسْفٌ، وَيُبْدَأُ بِأَهْلِ الْمَظَالِمِ.
Hatim narrated to us, he said: Al-Hasan bin Jaafar narrated to us, he said: Al-Munkadir bin Muhammad bin Al-Munkadir narrated to us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of Jabir, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: There will be distortion, slander, and treachery at the end of my nation, and it will begin with the people of injustice.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 28/485
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ يُونُسَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ بْنُ الْمَاجِشُونِ قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنِي عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ دِينَارٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عُمَرَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: الظُّلْمُ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ.
Ahmad bin Yunus told us, he said: Abd al-Aziz bin al-Majishun told us, he said: Abdullah bin Dinar told me, on the authority of Ibn Umar, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. God, peace and blessings be upon him, said: Injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 28/486
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، وَإِسْحَاقُ قَالاَ: حَدَّثَنَا مُعَاذٌ قَالَ: حَدَّثَنِي أَبِي، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي الْمُتَوَكِّلِ النَّاجِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ، عَنْ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِذَا خَلَصَ الْمُؤْمِنُونَ مِنَ النَّارِ حُبِسُوا بِقَنْطَرَةٍ بَيْنَ الْجَنَّةِ وَالنَّارِ، فَيَتَقَاصُّونَ مَظَالِمَ بَيْنَهُمْ فِي الدُّنْيَا، حَتَّى إِذَا نُقُّوا وَهُذِّبُوا، أُذِنَ لَهُمْ بِدُخُولِ الْجَنَّةِ، فَوَالَّذِي نَفْسُ مُحَمَّدٍ بِيَدِهِ، لَأَحَدُهُمْ بِمَنْزِلِهِ أَدَلُّ مِنْهُ فِي الدُّنْيَا.
Injustices between them in this world, until when they are purified and refined, they will be allowed to enter Paradise, and by the One in Whose Hand is the soul of Muhammad, for one of them. He is more eloquent in his position than he is in this world.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 28/487
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى، عَنِ ابْنِ عَجْلاَنَ، عَنْ سَعِيدِ بْنِ أَبِي سَعِيدٍ الْمَقْبُرِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظُّلْمَ، فَإِنَّ الظُّلْمَ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالْفُحْشَ، فَإِنَّ اللَّهَ لاَ يُحِبُّ الْفَاحِشَ الْمُتَفَحِّشَ، وَإِيَّاكُمْ وَالشُّحَّ، فَإِنَّهُ دَعَا مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ فَقَطَعُوا أَرْحَامَهُمْ، وَدَعَاهُمْ فَاسْتَحَلُّوا مَحَارِمَهُمْ.
Musaddad told us, he said: Yahya told us, on the authority of Ibn Ajlan, on the authority of Sa’id bin Abi Sa’id al-Maqbari, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace. He said: Beware of injustice, for injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection, and beware of indecency, for God does not like the indecent. The obscene one, and beware of stinginess, for he summoned those who were before you and they severed their ties of kinship, and he summoned them and they made lawful what they had prohibited.

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مَسْلَمَةَ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا دَاوُدُ بْنُ قَيْسٍ، عَنْ عُبَيْدِ اللهِ بْنِ مِقْسَمٍ، عَنْ جَابِرٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ: إِيَّاكُمْ وَالظُّلْمَ، فَإِنَّ الظُّلْمَ ظُلُمَاتٌ يَوْمَ الْقِيَامَةِ، وَاتَّقُوا الشُّحَّ، فَإِنَّهُ أَهْلَكَ مَنْ كَانَ قَبْلَكُمْ، وَحَمَلَهُمْ عَلَى أَنْ سَفَكُوا دِمَاءَهُمْ، وَاسْتَحَلُّوا مَحَارِمَهُمْ.
Abdullah bin Maslamah told us, he said: Dawud bin Qays told us, on the authority of Ubayd Allah bin Muqasim, on the authority of Jabir, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: Beware of you. And injustice, for injustice will be darkness on the Day of Resurrection, and beware of stinginess, for it destroyed those who were before you, and forced them to

حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ عَاصِمٍ، عَنْ أَبِي الضُّحَى قَالَ: اجْتَمَعَ مَسْرُوقٌ وَشُتَيْرُ بْنُ شَكَلٍ فِي الْمَسْجِدِ، فَتَقَوَّضَ إِلَيْهِمَا حِلَقُ الْمَسْجِدِ، فَقَالَ مَسْرُوقٌ: لاَ أَرَى هَؤُلاَءِ يَجْتَمِعُونَ إِلَيْنَا إِلاَّ لِيَسْتَمِعُوا مِنَّا خَيْرًا، فَإِمَّا أَنْ تُحَدِّثَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَأُصَدِّقَكَ أَنَا، وَإِمَّا أَنْ أُحَدِّثَ عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ فَتُصَدِّقَنِي؟ فَقَالَ: حَدِّثْ يَا أَبَا عَائِشَةَ، قَالَ: هَلْ سَمِعْتَ عَبْدَ اللهِ يَقُولُ: الْعَيْنَانِ يَزْنِيَانِ، وَالْيَدَانِ يَزْنِيَانِ، وَالرِّجْلاَنِ يَزْنِيَانِ، وَالْفَرْجُ يُصَدِّقُ ذَلِكَ أَوْ يُكَذِّبُهُ؟ فَقَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: وَأَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ، قَالَ: فَهَلْ سَمِعْتَ عَبْدَ اللهِ يَقُولُ: مَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ آيَةٌ أَجْمَعَ لِحَلاَلٍ وَحَرَامٍ وَأَمْرٍ وَنَهْيٍ، مِنْ هَذِهِ الْآيَةِ: {إِنَّ اللَّهَ يَأْمُرُ بِالْعَدْلِ وَالإِحْسَانِ وَإِيتَاءِ ذِي الْقُرْبَى}؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: وَأَنَا قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ، قَالَ: فَهَلْ سَمِعْتَ عَبْدَ اللهِ يَقُولُ: مَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ آيَةٌ أَسْرَعَ فَرَجًا مِنْ قَوْلِهِ: {وَمَنْ يَتَّقِ اللَّهَ يَجْعَلْ لَهُ مَخْرَجًا}؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: وَأَنَا قَدْ سَمِعْتُهُ، قَالَ: فَهَلْ سَمِعْتَ عَبْدَ اللهِ يَقُولُ: مَا فِي الْقُرْآنِ آيَةٌ أَشَدَّ تَفْوِيضًا مِنْ قَوْلِهِ: {يَا عِبَادِيَ الَّذِينَ أَسْرَفُوا عَلَى أَنْفُسِهِمْ لاَ تَقْنَطُوا} مِنْ رَحْمَةِ اللهِ؟ قَالَ: نَعَمْ، قَالَ: وَأَنَا سَمِعْتُهُ.
Suleiman bin Harb told us: Hammad bin Zayd told us, on the authority of Asim, on the authority of Abu Ad-Duha, who said: Masruq and Shutair bin Shukal met in The mosque, then the perimeter of the mosque collapsed towards them, and Masruq said: I do not see these people gathering to us except to hear something good from us. Either you narrate on the authority of Abdullah and I will believe you, or I narrate on the authority of Abdullah and you will believe me? So he said: Speak, O Abu Aisha. He said: Did you hear Abdullah say: The eyes commit fornication, and the two hands commit adultery, and the two feet commit adultery, and the private part confirms that or And I heard him. He said: Did you hear Abdullah say: There is no verse in the Qur’an quicker relief than his saying: {And whoever fears God He makes a way out for it}? He said: Yes, he said: And I heard him. He said: Did you hear Abdullah say: There is no verse in the Qur’an more severe

حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الأعْلَى بْنُ مُسْهِرٍ، أَوْ بَلَغَنِي عَنْهُ، قَالَ: حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الْعَزِيزِ، عَنْ رَبِيعَةَ بْنِ يَزِيدَ، عَنْ أَبِي إِدْرِيسَ الْخَوْلاَنِيِّ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، عَنِ اللهِ تَبَارَكَ وَتَعَالَى قَالَ: يَا عِبَادِي، إِنِّي قَدْ حَرَّمْتُ الظُّلْمَ عَلَى نَفْسِي، وَجَعَلْتُهُ مُحَرَّمًا بَيْنَكُمْ فَلاَ تَظَالَمُوا. يَا عِبَادِي، إِنَّكُمُ الَّذِينَ تُخْطِئُونَ بِاللَّيْلِ وَالنَّهَارِ وَأَنَا أَغْفِرُ الذُّنُوبَ، وَلاَ أُبَالِي، فَاسْتَغْفِرُونِي أَغْفِرْ لَكُمْ. يَا عِبَادِي، كُلُّكُمْ جَائِعٌ إِلاَّ مَنْ أَطْعَمْتُهُ، فَاسْتَطْعِمُونِي أُطْعِمْكُمْ. يَا عِبَادِي، كُلُّكُمْ عَارٍ إِلاَّ مِنْ كَسَوْتُهُ، فَاسْتَكْسُونِي أَكْسُكُمْ. يَا عِبَادِي، لَوْ أَنَّ أَوَّلَكُمْ وَآخِرَكُمْ، وَإِنْسَكُمْ وَجِنَّكُمْ، كَانُوا عَلَى أَتْقَى قَلْبِ عَبْدٍ مِنْكُمْ، لَمْ يَزِدْ ذَلِكَ فِي مُلْكِي شَيْئًا، وَلَوْ كَانُوا عَلَى أَفْجَرِ قَلْبِ رَجُلٍ، لَمْ يَنْقُصْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِي شَيْئًا، وَلَوِ اجْتَمَعُوا فِي صَعِيدٍ وَاحِدٍ فَسَأَلُونِي فَأَعْطَيْتُ كُلَّ إِنْسَانٍ مِنْهُمْ مَا سَأَلَ، لَمْ يَنْقُصْ ذَلِكَ مِنْ مُلْكِي شَيْئًا، إِلاَّ كَمَا يَنْقُصُ الْبَحْرُ أَنْ يُغْمَسَ فِيهِ الْخَيْطُ غَمْسَةً وَاحِدَةً. يَا عِبَادِي، إِنَّمَا هِيَ أَعْمَالُكُمْ أَجْعَلُهَا عَلَيْكُمْ، فَمَنْ وَجَدَ خَيْرًا فَلْيَحْمَدِ اللَّهَ، وَمَنْ وَجَدَ غَيْرَ ذَلِكَ فَلاَ يَلُومُ إِلاَّ نَفْسَهُ كَانَ أَبُو إِدْرِيسَ إِذَا حَدَّثَ بِهَذَا الْحَدِيثِ جَثَى عَلَى رُكْبَتَيْهِ.
All of you are naked except those whom I have clothed, so clothe Me and I will clothe you. O My servants, if only the first of you and the last of you, the human of you and the jinn of you, were on the most pious. The heart of a servant among you, that would not have increased My Kingdom anything, and if they had been as ungodly as the most wicked heart of a man, that would not have decreased My Kingdom anything, even if They gathered in one place and asked of Me, and I gave each one of them what he asked. This did not decrease My kingdom in the least, just as the sea decreases The thread is dipped into it once. O My servants, these are only your deeds that I will assign to you. So whoever finds good, let him praise God. Whoever finds other than that has no one to blame but himself. Whenever Abu Idris narrated this hadith, he would kneel on his knees.
