01
Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/419
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ أُمَيَّةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عِيسَى بْنُ مُوسَى، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ كَيْسَانَ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ‏:‏ اسْتَبَّ رَجُلاَنِ عَلَى عَهْدِ رَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَسَبَّ أَحَدُهُمَا وَالْآخَرُ سَاكِتٌ، وَالنَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم جَالِسٌ، ثُمَّ رَدَّ الْآخَرُ‏.‏ فَنَهَضَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَقِيلَ‏:‏ نَهَضْتَ‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ نَهَضَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ فَنَهَضْتُ مَعَهُمْ، إِنَّ هَذَا مَا كَانَ سَاكِتًا رَدَّتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ عَلَى الَّذِي سَبَّهُ، فَلَمَّا رَدَّ نَهَضَتِ الْمَلاَئِكَةُ‏.‏
Muhammad ibn Umayyah narrated to us, he said: Issa ibn Musa narrated to us, on the authority of Abdullah ibn Kaysan, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas, he said: Two men at the time of the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace. One of them cursed while the other was silent, while the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was sitting, then the other responded. So the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, got up, and it was said: Did you get up? He said: The angels got up, so I got up with them. This man was not silent. The angels responded. Against the one who cursed him, and when he responded, the angels rose.

حَدَّثَنَا هِشَامُ بْنُ عَمَّارٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا رُدَيْحُ بْنُ عَطِيَّةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ أَبِي عَبْلَةَ، عَنْ أُمِّ الدَّرْدَاءِ أَنَّ رَجُلاً أَتَاهَا فَقَالَ‏:‏ إِنَّ رَجُلاً نَالَ مِنْكِ عِنْدَ عَبْدِ الْمَلِكِ، فَقَالَتْ‏:‏ إِنْ نُؤْبَنَ بِمَا لَيْسَ فِينَا، فَطَالَمَا زُكِّينَا بِمَا لَيْسَ فِينَا‏.‏

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/421
حَدَّثَنَا شِهَابُ بْنُ عَبَّادٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ حُمَيْدٍ الرُّؤَاسِيُّ، عَنْ إِسْمَاعِيلَ، عَنْ قَيْسٍ قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ عَبْدُ اللهِ‏:‏ إِذَا قَالَ الرَّجُلُ لِصَاحِبِهِ‏:‏ أَنْتَ عَدُوِّي، فَقَدْ خَرَجَ أَحَدُهُمَا مِنَ الإِسْلاَمِ، أَوْ بَرِئ مِنْ صَاحِبِهِ‏.‏
Shihab bin Abbad narrated to us, he said: Ibrahim bin Humaid Al-Rawasi narrated to us, on the authority of Ismail, on the authority of Qays, who said: Abdullah said: If he said The man to his friend: You are my enemy. One of them has left Islam, or has disavowed his friend.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/422
حَدَّثَنَا مُسَدَّدٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَاحِدِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا لَيْثٌ، عَنْ طَاوُسٍ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ، أَظُنُّهُ رَفَعَهُ، شَكَّ لَيْثٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ فِي ابْنِ آدَمَ سِتُّونَ وَثَلاَثُمِئَةِ سُلاَمَى، أَوْ عَظْمٍ، أَوْ مَفْصِلٍ، عَلَى كُلِّ وَاحِدٍ فِي كُلِّ يَوْمٍ صَدَقَةٌ، كُلُّ كَلِمَةٍ طَيْبَةٍ صَدَقَةٌ، وَعَوْنُ الرَّجُلِ أَخَاهُ صَدَقَةٌ، وَالشَّرْبَةُ مِنَ الْمَاءِ يَسْقِيهَا صَدَقَةٌ، وَإِمَاطَةُ الأَذَى عَنِ الطَّرِيقِ صَدَقَةٌ‏.‏
A man’s help to his brother is a charity, a drink of water to give him drink is a charity, and removing harm from the road is a charity.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/423
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ بْنُ جَعْفَرٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا الْعَلاَءُ بْنُ عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ الْمُسْتَبَّانِ مَا قَالاَ فَعَلَى الْبَادِئِ، مَا لَمْ يَعْتَدِ الْمَظْلُومُ‏.‏
Ibrahim bin Musa narrated to us, he said: Ismail bin Jafar narrated to us, he said: Al-Ala bin Abd al-Rahman narrated to us, on the authority of his father, on the authority of my father Hurairah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: The one who is informed will do what they say, so long as the oppressed person does not transgress.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/424
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ بْنُ عِيسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا ابْنُ وَهْبٍ قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنِي عَمْرُو بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي حَبِيبٍ، عَنْ سِنَانِ بْنِ سَعْدٍ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ الْمُسْتَبَّانِ مَا قَالاَ، فَعَلَى الْبَادِئِ، حَتَّى يَعْتَدِيَ الْمَظْلُومُ‏.‏
Ahmad bin Issa told us, he said: Ibn Wahb told us, he said: Amr bin Al-Harith told me, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Habib, on the authority of Sinan Ibn Saad, on the authority of Anas, on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, who said: What is clear is what they say, then it is in the first place, until the oppressed transgresses.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/425
وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ أَتَدْرُونَ مَا الْعَضْهُ‏؟‏ قَالُوا‏:‏ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ، قَالَ‏:‏ نَقْلُ الْحَدِيثِ مِنْ بَعْضِ النَّاسِ إِلَى بَعْضٍ، لِيُفْسِدُوا بَيْنَهُمْ‏.‏
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Do you know what a bite is? They said: God and His Messenger know best. He said: The transmission of hadith from some people to others. To cause corruption among themselves...

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/427
حَدَّثَنَا عَمْرُو بْنُ مَرْزُوقٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا عِمْرَانُ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ الشِّخِّيرِ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ قَالَ‏:‏ قُلْتُ‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، الرَّجُلُ يَسُبُّنِي‏؟‏ قَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ الْمُسْتَبَّانِ شَيْطَانَانِ يَتَهَاتَرَانِ وَيَتَكَاذَبَانِ‏.‏
Amr bin Marzuq told us, he said: Imran told us, on the authority of Qatada, on the authority of Yazid bin Abdullah bin Al-Shakhir, on the authority of Iyad bin Himar, who said: I said: O Messenger of God, the man is cursing me? Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/428
حَدَّثَنَا أَحْمَدُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنِي إِبْرَاهِيمُ، عَنْ حَجَّاجِ بْنِ حَجَّاجٍ، عَنْ قَتَادَةَ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنْ عِيَاضِ بْنِ حِمَارٍ قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا حَتَّى لاَ يَبْغِيَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ، وَلاَ يَفْخَرَ أَحَدٌ عَلَى أَحَدٍ، فَقُلْتُ‏:‏ يَا رَسُولَ اللهِ، أَرَأَيْتَ لَوْ أَنَّ رَجُلاً سَبَّنِي فِي مَلَأٍ هُمْ أَنْقُصُ مِنِّي، فَرَدَدْتُ عَلَيْهِ، هَلْ عَلَيَّ فِي ذَلِكَ جُنَاحٌ‏؟‏ قَالَ‏:‏ الْمُسْتَبَّانِ شَيْطَانَانِ يَتَهَاتَرَانِ وَيَتَكَاذَبَانِ‏.‏
قَالَ عِيَاضٌ‏:‏ وَكُنْتُ حَرْبًا لِرَسُولِ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَأَهْدَيْتُ إِلَيْهِ نَاقَةً، قَبْلَ أَنْ أُسْلِمَ، فَلَمْ يَقْبَلْهَا وَقَالَ‏:‏ إِنِّي أَكْرَهُ زَبْدَ الْمُشْرِكِينَ‏.‏
He greeted me, so I gave him a she-camel, before I converted to Islam, but he did not accept it and said: I hate the scum of the polytheists.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/429
حَدَّثَنَا إِبْرَاهِيمُ بْنُ مُوسَى قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنِي يَحْيَى بْنُ زَكَرِيَّا بْنِ أَبِي زَائِدَةَ، عَنْ زَكَرِيَّا، عَنْ أَبِي إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ سَعْدِ بْنِ مَالِكٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ‏.‏
Ibrahim bin Musa told us, saying: Yahya bin Zakaria bin Abi Zaida informed me, on the authority of Zakaria, on the authority of Abu Ishaq, on the authority of Muhammad bin Saad bin Malik, on the authority of his father, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Cursing a Muslim is immoral.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/430
حَدَّثَنَا مُحَمَّدُ بْنُ سِنَانٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ أَخْبَرَنَا فُلَيْحُ بْنُ سُلَيْمَانَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا هِلاَلُ بْنُ عَلِيٍّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ‏:‏ لَمْ يَكُنْ رَسُولُ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَاحِشًا، وَلاَ لَعَّانًا، وَلاَ سَبَّابًا، كَانَ يَقُولُ عِنْدَ الْمَعْتَبَةِ‏:‏ مَا لَهُ تَرِبَ جَبِينُهُ‏.‏
Muhammad bin Sinan told us, he said: Fulayh bin Sulaiman told us, he said: Hilal bin Ali told us, on the authority of Anas, who said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was not He, peace and blessings be upon him, was obscene, did not curse, or cursed. He used to say at the threshold: He has no dust on his forehead.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/431
حَدَّثَنَا سُلَيْمَانُ بْنُ حَرْبٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ زُبَيْدٍ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ أَبَا وَائِلٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ، عَنِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ سِبَابُ الْمُسْلِمِ فُسُوقٌ، وَقِتَالُهُ كُفْرٌ‏.‏
Suleiman bin Harb told us, he said: Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Zubaid, he said: I heard Abu Wa’il, on the authority of Abdullah, on the authority of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace: cursing A Muslim is a transgressor, and fighting him is blasphemy.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/432
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو مَعْمَرٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْوَارِثِ، عَنِ الْحُسَيْنِ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ بُرَيْدَةَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا يَحْيَى بْنُ يَعْمَُرَ، أَنَّ أَبَا الأَسْوَدِ الدِّيلِيَّ حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّهُ سَمِعَ أَبَا ذَرٍّ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ‏:‏ لاَ يَرْمِي رَجُلٌ رَجُلاً بِالْفُسُوقِ، وَلاَ يَرْمِيهِ بِالْكُفْرِ، إِلاَّ ارْتَدَّتْ عَلَيْهِ، إِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ صَاحِبُهُ كَذَلِكَ‏.‏
Abu Muammar told us, he said: Abdul-Warith told us, on the authority of Al-Hussein, on the authority of Abdullah bin Buraidah, he said: Yahya bin Yamar told us, Abu Al-Aswad Al-Dili told him that he heard Abu Dharr say: I heard the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: A man should not shoot another man. Of immorality, and he does not accuse him of disbelief, unless it returns to him, if his companion is not like that.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/433
وَبِالسَّنَدِ، عَنْ أَبِي ذَرٍّ، سَمِعَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ‏:‏ مَنِ ادَّعَى لِغَيْرِ أَبِيهِ وَهُوَ يَعْلَمُ فَقَدْ كَفَرَ، وَمَنِ ادَّعَى قَوْمًا لَيْسَ هُوَ مِنْهُمْ فَلْيَتَبَوَّأْ مَقْعَدَهُ مِنَ النَّارِ، وَمَنْ دَعَا رَجُلاً بِالْكُفْرِ، أَوْ قَالَ‏:‏ عَدُوُّ اللهِ، وَلَيْسَ كَذَلِكَ إِلا حَارَتْ عَلَيْهِ‏.‏
With a chain of transmission, on the authority of Abu Dharr, he heard the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, say: Whoever claims someone other than his father while knowing it has disbelieved, and whoever claims a people that is not his own. Among them, let him take his seat in the Fire, and whoever calls a man an unbeliever, or says: The enemy of God, and that is not the case except that he will be besieged.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/434
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَدِيُّ بْنُ ثَابِتٍ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ سُلَيْمَانَ بْنَ صُرَدٍ، رَجُلاً مِنْ أَصْحَابِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، قَالَ‏:‏ اسْتَبَّ رَجُلاَنِ عِنْدَ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَغَضِبَ أَحَدُهُمَا، فَاشْتَدَّ غَضَبُهُ حَتَّى انْتَفَخَ وَجْهُهُ وَتَغَيَّرَ، فَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُ كَلِمَةً لَوْ قَالَهَا لَذَهَبَ عَنْهُ الَّذِي يَجِدُ، فَانْطَلَقَ إِلَيْهِ الرَّجُلُ، فَأَخْبَرَهُ بِقَوْلِ النَّبِيِّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَقَالَ‏:‏ تَعَوَّذْ بِاللَّهِ مِنَ الشَّيْطَانِ الرَّجِيمِ، وَقَالَ‏:‏ أَتَرَى بِي بَأْسًا، أَمَجْنُونٌ أَنَا‏؟‏ اذْهَبْ‏.‏
Omar told us, he said: My father told us, he said: Al-Amash told us, he said: Adi bin Thabit told us, he said: I heard Sulayman bin Surad, a man from... The Companions of the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Two men insulted the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and one of them became angry, and his anger intensified until Am I crazy? Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/435
حَدَّثَنَا خَلاَّدُ بْنُ يَحْيَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ يَزِيدَ بْنِ أَبِي زِيَادٍ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ سَلَمَةَ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ قَالَ‏:‏ مَا مِنْ مُسْلِمَيْنِ إِلاَّ بَيْنَهُمَا مِنَ اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ سِتْرٌ، فَإِذَا قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِصَاحِبِهِ كَلِمَةَ هَجْرٍ فَقَدْ خَرَقَ سِتْرَ اللهِ، وَإِذَا قَالَ أَحَدُهُمَا لِلْآخَرِ‏:‏ أَنْتَ كَافِرٌ، فَقَدْ كَفَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا‏.‏
Khallad bin Yahya told us, he said: Sufyan told us, on the authority of Yazid bin Abi Ziyad, on the authority of Amr bin Salamah, on the authority of Abdullah, he said: There is no Muslims, except that there is a covering between them from God Almighty, so if one of them says the word shunning to his friend, then he has violated God’s cover, and if one of them says To the other: You are an infidel, as one of them has become an infidel.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/437
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الرَّحْمَنِ بْنُ الْمُبَارَكِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا حَمَّادُ بْنُ زَيْدٍ، عَنْ سَلْمٍ الْعَلَوِيِّ، عَنْ أَنَسٍ قَالَ‏:‏ كَانَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَلَّ مَا يُوَاجِهُ الرَّجُلَ بِشَيْءٍ يَكْرَهُهُ، فَدَخَلَ عَلَيْهِ يَوْمًا رَجُلٌ، وَعَلَيْهِ أَثَرُ صُفْرَةٍ، فَلَمَّا قَامَ قَالَ لأَصْحَابِهِ‏:‏ لَوْ غَيَّرَ، أَوْ نَزَعَ، هَذِهِ الصُّفْرَةَ‏.‏
Abdul Rahman bin Al-Mubarak told us, he said: Hammad bin Zaid told us, on the authority of Salam Al-Alawi, on the authority of Anas, who said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, rarely He confronts a man with something he hates, and one day a man entered upon him with traces of yellowness on him. حَدَّثَنَا مُوسَى، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ الْعَزِيزِ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا حُصَيْنٌ، عَنْ سَعْدِ بْنِ عُبَيْدَةَ، عَنْ أَبِي عَبْدِ الرَّحْمَنِ السُّلَمِيِّ قَالَ‏:‏ سَمِعْتُ عَلِيًّا رَضِيَ اللَّهُ عَنْهُ يَقُولُ‏:‏ بَعَثَنِي النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم وَالزُّبَيْرَ بْنَ الْعَوَّامِ، وَكِلاَنَا فَارِسٌ، فَقَالَ‏:‏ انْطَلِقُوا حَتَّى تَبْلُغُوا رَوْضَةَ كَذَا وَكَذَا، وَبِهَا امْرَأَةٌ مَعَهَا كِتَابٌ مِنْ حَاطِبٍ إِلَى الْمُشْرِكِينَ، فَأْتُونِي بِهَا، فَوَافَيْنَاهَا تَسِيرُ عَلَى بَعِيرٍ لَهَا حَيْثُ وَصَفَ لَنَا النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَقُلْنَا‏:‏ الْكِتَابُ الَّذِي مَعَكِ‏؟‏ قَالَتْ‏:‏ مَا مَعِي كِتَابٌ، فَبَحَثْنَاهَا وَبَعِيرَهَا، فَقَالَ صَاحِبِي‏:‏ مَا أَرَى، فَقُلْتُ‏:‏ مَا كَذَبَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، وَالَّذِي نَفْسِي بِيَدِهِ لَأُجَرِّدَنَّكِ أَوْ لَتُخْرِجِنَّهُ، فَأَهْوَتْ بِيَدِهَا إِلَى حُجْزَتِهَا وَعَلَيْهَا إِزَارٌ صُوفٌ، فَأَخْرَجَتْ، فَأَتَيْنَا النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم، فَقَالَ عُمَرُ‏:‏ خَانَ اللَّهَ وَرَسُولَهُ وَالْمُؤْمِنِينَ، دَعْنِي أَضْرِبْ عُنُقَهُ، وَقَالَ‏:‏ مَا حَمَلَكَ‏؟‏ فَقَالَ‏:‏ مَا بِي إِلاَّ أَنْ أَكُونَ مُؤْمِنًا بِاللَّهِ، وَأَرَدْتُ أَنْ يَكُونَ لِي عِنْدَ الْقَوْمِ يَدٌ، قَالَ‏:‏ صَدَقَ يَا عُمَرُ، أَوَ لَيْسَ قَدْ شَهِدَ بَدْرًا، لَعَلَّ اللَّهَ اطَّلَعَ إِلَيْهِمْ فَقَالَ‏:‏ اعْمَلُوا مَا شِئْتُمْ فَقَدْ وَجَبَتْ لَكُمُ الْجَنَّةُ، فَدَمَعَتْ عَيْنَا عُمَرَ وَقَالَ‏:‏ اللَّهُ وَرَسُولُهُ أَعْلَمُ‏.‏
And her camel, and my companion said: I don’t see, so I said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, did not lie, and by the One in whose hand is my soul, I will either free you or you will expel him. So she lowered her hand into her girdle, wearing a wool garment, and came out. We came to the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, and Omar said: He betrayed God. And His Messenger and the believers, he let me strike his neck, and he said: What burdened you? He said: I only have to be a believer in God, and I wanted it to be I have a hand with the people. He said: He has told the truth, O Umar. Or did he not witness Badr? Perhaps God looked at them and said: Do whatever you want.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/439
حَدَّثَنَا إِسْمَاعِيلُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ دِينَارٍ، عَنْ عَبْدِ اللهِ بْنِ عُمَرَ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ أَيُّمَا رَجُلٌ قَالَ لأَخِيهِ‏:‏ كَافِرٌ، فَقَدْ بَاءَ بِهَا أَحَدُهُمَا‏.‏
Ismail told us, he said: Malik told us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Dinar, on the authority of Abdullah bin Omar, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: Whatever man He said to his brother: He is an infidel, so one of them did it.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/441
حَدَّثَنَا عَبْدُ اللهِ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا سُفْيَانُ، عَنْ سُمَيٍّ، عَنْ أَبِي صَالِحٍ، عَنْ أَبِي هُرَيْرَةَ، أَنَّ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم كَانَ يَتَعَوَّذُ مِنْ سُوءِ الْقَضَاءِ، وَشَمَاتَةِ الأعداء‏.‏
Abdullah bin Muhammad told us, he said: Sufyan told us, on the authority of Sumayy, on the authority of Abu Salih, on the authority of Abu Hurairah, that the Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, used to seek refuge from Bad judgment, and gloating of enemies

وَقَالَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم‏:‏ إِنَّ اللَّهَ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ أَوْحَى إِلَيَّ أَنْ تَوَاضَعُوا، وَلاَ يَبْغِ بَعْضُكُمْ عَلَى بَعْضٍ‏.‏
The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: God Almighty has revealed to me that you be humble, and do not oppress one another.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/436
حَدَّثَنَا عُمَرُ بْنُ حَفْصٍ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا أَبِي، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا الأَعْمَشُ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مُسْلِمٌ، عَنْ مَسْرُوقٍ قَالَ‏:‏ قَالَتْ عَائِشَةُ‏:‏ صَنَعَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم شَيْئًا، فَرَخَّصَ فِيهِ، فَتَنَزَّهَ عَنْهُ قَوْمٌ، فَبَلَغَ ذَلِكَ النَّبِيَّ صلى الله عليه وسلم فَخَطَبَ، فَحَمِدَ اللَّهَ، ثُمَّ قَالَ‏:‏ مَا بَالُ أَقْوَامٍ يَتَنَزَّهُونَ عَنِ الشَّيْءِ أَصْنَعُهُ‏؟‏ فَوَاللَّهِ إِنِّي لَأَعْلَمُهُمْ بِاللَّهِ، وَأَشَدُّهُمْ لَهُ خَشْيَةً‏.‏
Omar bin Hafs told us, he said: My father told us, he said: Al-A’mash told us, he said: Muslim told us, on the authority of Masruq, he said: Aisha said: The Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, did something, and he gave permission for it, and a group of people turned away from it. This was reported to the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, and he delivered a sermon, and he thanked God. Then he said: What is the matter with people who avoid the thing I do? By God, I am the most knowledgeable of them about God, and the strongest in their fear of Him.

Al-Adab Al-Mufrad # 24/440
Said Bin Dawud
حَدَّثَنَا سَعِيدُ بْنُ دَاوُدَ، قَالَ‏:‏ حَدَّثَنَا مَالِكٌ، أَنَّ نَافِعًا حَدَّثَهُ، أَنَّ عَبْدَ اللهِ بْنَ عُمَرَ أَخْبَرَهُ، أَنَّ رَسُولَ اللهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم قَالَ‏:‏ إِذَا قَالَ لِلْآخَرِ‏:‏ كَافِرٌ، فَقَدْ كَفَرَ أَحَدُهُمَا، إِنْ كَانَ الَّذِي قَالَ لَهُ كَافِرًا فَقَدْ صَدَقَ، وَإِنْ لَمْ يَكُنْ كَمَا قَالَ لَهُ فَقَدْ بَاءَ الَّذِي قَالَ لَهُ بِالْكُفْرِ‏.‏
Sa`id bin Dawud told us: Malik told us that Nafi` told him that `Abdullah bin `Umar told him that the Messenger of Allah, may God bless him and grant him peace, said: “If one says to another: ‘You are an unbeliever,’ then one of them has committed disbelief. If the one to whom he said it is an unbeliever, then he has spoken the truth. But if he is not as he said it to him, then the one to whom he said it has committed disbelief.”
