Hadith #287
حَدَّثَنَا صَدَقَةُ، قَالَ: أَخْبَرَنَا يَزِيدُ بْنُ هَارُونَ، عَنْ مُحَمَّدِ بْنِ إِسْحَاقَ، عَنْ دَاوُدَ بْنِ حُصَيْنٍ، عَنْ عِكْرِمَةَ، عَنِ ابْنِ عَبَّاسٍ قَالَ: سُئِلَ النَّبِيُّ صلى الله عليه وسلم: أَيُّ الأَدْيَانِ أَحَبُّ إِلَى اللهِ عَزَّ وَجَلَّ؟ قَالَ: الْحَنِيفِيَّةُ السَّمْحَةُ.
Sadaqah told us, he said: Yazid bin Harun told us, on the authority of Muhammad bin Ishaq, on the authority of Dawud bin Husayn, on the authority of Ikrimah, on the authority of Ibn Abbas said: The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked: Which religion is most beloved to God Almighty? He said: The tolerant Hanifiyyah.
