Hadith #27558
حَدَّثَنَا أَبُو سَعِيدٍ الأَشَجُّ، حَدَّثَنَا الأَحْمَرُ، عَنِ الْحَجَّاجِ بْنِ أَرْطَاةَ، عَنْ عَمْرِو بْنِ شُعَيْبٍ، عَنْ أَبِيهِ، عَنْ جَدِّهِ، عَنْ عُمَرَ بْنِ الْخَطَّابِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" لاَ يُقَادُ الْوَالِدُ بِالْوَلَدِ " .
Abu Sa`id al-Ashjaj told us, al-Ahmar told us, on the authority of al-Hajjaj ibn Artat, on the authority of Amr ibn Shuaib, on the authority of his father, on the authority of his grandfather, on the authority of Umar ibn Al-Khattab said: I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, saying:
“The father is not led by the child.”
