Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27792

Hanad narrated to us, Abu Muawiyah narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Amash, on the authority of Amr bin Murrah, on the authority of Salim bin Abi Al-Jaad, that Shurahbil bin Al-Samat, said O Ka'b bin Murrah, tell us about the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, and beware. He said, I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say, “Whoever becomes young... A gray hair in Islam will be a light for him on the Day of Resurrection.” Abu Issa said, and in the chapter about the virtue of Ibn Ubaid and Abdullah Ibn Amr And the hadith of Ka’b bin Murrah is a good hadith. This is how Al-A’mash narrated it on the authority of Amr bin Murrah, and this hadith was narrated on the authority of Mansour on the authority of Salem bin Abi Al-Ja'd added a man between him and Ka'b ibn Murrah in the chain of transmission. It is said that Ka'b ibn Murrah is called Murrah ibn Ka'b Al-Bahzi and Al-Ma'rouf. One of the companions of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him, was Murrah bin Ka’b al-Bahzi, and he narrated hadiths on the authority of the Prophet, may God’s prayers and peace be upon him.
