Hadith #29025
Ishaq bin Musa Al-Ansari narrated to us, he said, Ma’n narrated to us, Malik narrated to us, on the authority of Abdullah bin Dinar, on the authority of Ibn Umar, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “Among the trees is a tree whose leaves do not fall, and it is like a believer. Tell me what it is.” Abdullah said. So the people fell in the trees of the desert, and it occurred to me that it was the palm tree. The Prophet, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “It is the palm tree.” So I was ashamed to say: Abdullah said, “I told Omar about what happened to me. He said, ‘For me to have said it is more beloved to me than for me to have such-and-such’. And so on. Abu Issa said: This is a hasan and authentic hadith. And on the authority of Abu Hurairah, may God be pleased with him.
