Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27784

Muhammad bin Rafi’ narrated to us, Zaid bin Hubab narrated to us, Muawiyah bin Salih narrated to us, on the authority of Kathir bin Al-Harith, on the authority of Al-Qasim Abi Abd Al-Rahman, on the authority of Adi bin Hatim Al-Tai, that he asked the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, which charity is best. He said, “Serving a servant for the sake of “or the shade of Fustat or the trail of a stallion in the path of God.” Abu Issa said, and this hadith was narrated on the authority of Muawiyah bin Salih. Mursal, and Zayd was succeeded in some of its chain of transmission.
