Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #27818

Abu Ammar narrated to us, Al-Walid bin Muslim narrated to us, on the authority of Al-Awza’i, Al-Zuhri narrated to us, on the authority of Ata’ bin Yazid Al-Laythi, on the authority of Abu Sa’id Al-Khudri, said: The Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, was asked which people are the best. He said, “A man who strives in the path of God.” They said, “Then who said?” “Then there is a believer in one of the valleys who fears his Lord and shuns the evil of the people.” Abu Issa said: This is a good and authentic hadith.
