حَدَّثَنَا حُسَيْنُ بْنُ مُحَمَّدٍ الْبَصْرِيُّ، حَدَّثَنَا خَالِدُ بْنُ الْحَارِثِ، حَدَّثَنَا شُعْبَةُ، عَنْ حَبِيبِ بْنِ الزُّبَيْرِ، قَالَ سَمِعْتُ عَبْدَ اللَّهِ بْنَ أَبِي الْهُذَيْلِ، يَقُولُ كَانَ نَاسٌ مِنْ رَبِيعَةَ عِنْدَ عَمْرِو بْنِ الْعَاصِي فَقَالَ رَجُلٌ مِنْ بَكْرِ بْنِ وَائِلٍ لَتَنْتَهِيَنَّ قُرَيْشٌ أَوْ لَيَجْعَلَنَّ اللَّهُ هَذَا الأَمْرَ فِي جُمْهُورٍ مِنَ الْعَرَبِ غَيْرِهِمْ . فَقَالَ عَمْرُو بْنُ الْعَاصِي كَذَبْتَ سَمِعْتُ رَسُولَ اللَّهِ صلى الله عليه وسلم يَقُولُ
" قُرَيْشٌ وُلاَةُ النَّاسِ فِي الْخَيْرِ وَالشَّرِّ إِلَى يَوْمِ الْقِيَامَةِ " . قَالَ أَبُو عِيسَى وَفِي الْبَابِ عَنِ ابْنِ مَسْعُودٍ وَابْنِ عُمَرَ وَجَابِرٍ . وَهَذَا حَدِيثٌ حَسَنٌ غَرِيبٌ صَحِيحٌ .
Hussein bin Muhammad Al-Basri told us, Khalid bin Al-Harith told us, Shu’bah told us, on the authority of Habib bin Al-Zubayr, he said: I heard Abdullah bin Abu Al-Hudhayl, he says, “Some people from Rabi’ah were with Amr ibn Al-Asi, and a man from Bakr ibn Wa’il said, ‘You will stop the Quraysh or May God make this matter happen among a group of other Arabs. Amr bin Al-Asi said: You lied. I heard the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, say: “Quraysh.” Rulers of the people in good and evil until the Day of Resurrection.” Abu Issa said, and in the chapter on the authority of Ibn Masoud and Ibn Umar. And Jabir. This is a good, strange, and authentic hadith.
