Jami' at-Tirmidhi — Hadith #28871
Hadith #28871
Mahmoud bin Ghaylan told us, Shababah told us, on the authority of Hamza, on the authority of Abu al-Zubayr, on the authority of Jabir, that the Messenger of God, may God bless him and grant him peace, said, “If he writes “If any of you has a book, let him study it, for it is more suitable for the need.” Abu Issa said: This is an objectionable hadith that we do not know of from Abu al-Zubayr. Except from this perspective. He said, “In my opinion, Hamza is Ibn Amr al-Nusaybi. He is weak in hadith.”
